Works great, but there is a small design flaw.

Works great. I use it once a week when traveling to Idaho from Washington state. It keeps food very cold and has frozen my yogurt once. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the construction of the cable. It is not removable and the place where it is stored is very light and the locking mechanism broke in less than a week. So when I carry it to the car, I have to be careful not to pull on the cord. A deadbolt is the deadbolt where you push the door down and it locks and when you…

Love this box

My husband has been using this product for four days now. He works in commercial construction. He takes his lunch out of the fridge, puts it in the fridge, and then puts it back in his pocket every morning after he goes shopping. Morning lows at 50 this week, highs at 78. Not sure how long it will take to cool off. He commutes from work to work all day, so he keeps him going. So far he says he keeps his food from very cold to very cold so well. Shown here are 2 bento trays, fruit and utensils…

Amazing device. We saved over $500 in restaurant expenses.

I love this cooler! We used it on a long 2 week minivan trip. This has easily saved us over $500 in restaurant expenses, allowing us to save money and eat healthier by shopping for groceries every 1-2 days. It was enough to store milk, cheese, salads, yogurt, etc. We left it behind and the fan didn't bother anyone, nobody found it loud. It kept the food cold, and even if we left the car in fairly high heat for a couple of hours, the device kept the food cool enough. Maybe leaving it out for…

It works very well even in very hot places.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a 7300 mile trip with a 24 liter Wagan cooler/warmer in the back seat. We have never used a heating pad so my rating is based on the cooler. We left eggs, yogurt, cheese, meat. No problem! That was great! In June and July we were in the deserts of the US Southwest, Phoenix at 111f, the Grand Canyon, Montana, Dakota, etc. We visited all the places known for their sunny daytime heat and coolers kept cool. He saved a 5 pound tube of 95% frozen meat from…

Great form factor compromised by serious usability issues - AVOID

Now I wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing this cooler/heater as its harsh and impractical limitations are not listed in the main spec sheet are. The following is NOT disclosed: When used in a car, the device must be turned off and unplugged from the car power BEFORE turning off the car ignition; in addition, the device must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply when the vehicle ignition is switched on, after which it can be connected to the power supply and then…

Lasts excellent for approx. 5400 miles. Then I got tired from driving

I just got back from a 3 week trip in the US. I bought this cooler (not used as a heating pad) for about $90 for this purpose. I plugged the cooler into the cigarette lighter socket behind the driver/passenger/trunk armrest. So I can place it behind the passenger seat. This served two main purposes: First, I can fetch/open the fridge to get treats. Sometimes it's difficult because the radiator is quite deep. But not bad for tall items like soda bottles. Second, the instructions suggest turning…

  • Great design

  • Packaging is ugly

Cold drinks - no watery porridge! Frozen food delivered to your home!

We travel a lot and like to take drinks and soda with us. We used to just fill an ice box with "blue ice" and soda. Blue ice refers to those reusable blue "ice" packs that keep you cool without leaving puddles of water everywhere. In any case, this idea works for road trips under 4 hours. A little more and you'll be lucky enough to get a cool lemonade. If you don't want to bag every piece of blue ice cream you've got, we've tried and it's a pain royalty.
