What a blanket! I sleep much better now. I have it between two microfiber blankets. It only gets too hot when the cat snuggles up. I stretched it out in the reading corner for two more days. Still smells. Not that durable, but I can't keep it on my lap for more than a few seconds, let alone get it up to my chest or shoulders. UPDATE 5/6/2021: I've upped my rating by one star but I will add that a blanket is not a good idea as it impedes airflow. I will also address my claims by saying that I live in a warm and humid environment (Louisiana) and that high humidity speeds up perceived temperature changes. It's a good weight, but the material is too stiff to hug your body easily for that "hug feeling" that makes weighted blankets so inviting. First off, this is a well made knitted blanket that breathes. I have both this and a regular weighted glass bead duvet also made by this company made from bamboo with multiple duvet options depending on the temperature. In comparison, the knitted version offers a more even weight distribution than the beaded version.
