A cable for live sound is defective and stage

I bought two cables. One of them quickly became unreliable and then stopped working together. I opened up for the connector and found that one of the wires had come loose from the solder.

I am using this to connect a speaker to a sound card.

I use this to hook up a speaker to a deck for a number of outdoor gigs in the summer when the speaker needs to be far enough away from everything else. In quieter moments or between songs I do get a bit of hiss from this cable, but the audio still comes through and it alleviates the distance issue without having to bundle lots of cables together that had a lot more noise.

Standard cable no problem

I know there are negative reviews and although I'm not a sound engineer I'm a DJ and it suits my needs perfectly in the sense that I used it to connect last weekend to set up a laptop/projector to deliver sound from a video to my sound system. Worked perfectly. I probably would have paid a bit more for a thicker cable, but I was in a hurry and on a tight budget and for the price paid I don't see any loss in quality. highlighted.

Used for powered monitors

I bought some of these cables to hook up a new set of powered monitors. They should be semi-permanent cables: I won't be winding and unwinding them all the time, and they're unlikely to disconnect even a couple of times. For this particular application, the removal of curvature is quite sufficient and the basic requirement for signal transmission is well met. For on location recording I would probably be willing to shell out more money for heavier cables but wouldn't hesitate to keep a pair of…

Stay away from other electronics and works amazing!

These cables work VERY well IF you don't route them near electronics. Position them at least 30cm away from computers or electronics as this will pick up some noise in the signal going to the preamp. After moving it about 1.5 feet away from both of my monitors, the computer, and the audio receiver, it didn't pick up or transmit that very faint hum. I've been using this cable for my AT2020 XLR mic and Ben USB302 mixer amp and it's been working great for months so can't complain. Just try routing

  • Quick Change

  • Almost never

1-2 cables worked best on stage and in the studio Cable

I ordered 2 of these for a podcast setup along with a bunch of other gear, all plugged in, turned on and everything I hear is louder Volume . Buzzing noise, trying to set levels on mixer, board off, unplugged cable, plugged it back in and same thing again and no voice no sound just hmm! So I unplugged that cable and opened up the second one that came with the first cable, connected it to the mic and mixer, then flipped the switch and it works great. So bad cable but I think you get what you…
