I bought a floating turtle feeder for my daughter's yellow-bellied slider. The fish turned out to be a lot bigger than we thought, almost the size of her turtle, but she loves to follow her around the tank and attack her for food. Definitely money well spent.

Interesting idea but poorly designed. The turtle feeding station was not a problem. The holes in the feeder are too small for the maintenance diet (manufactured by Zoo Med.). I drilled bigger holes but that didn't help. The feeder does not float high enough. The pellets will either sink or sink into the water when the feeder is gently lowered into the water. It's cute! I was concerned after reading the reviews that I was beginning to think it was huge. But it's fine as long as you have a tank that is at least 50 gallons, as long as your turtles are at least 5 inches tall and there is room to swim. This fish feeder made my red-eared slider's day more exciting. I love watching him "hunt" for his food and he gets so excited when he sees me pulling it out of the cupboard to fill it.
