Funny Turtle Friend.: Fish & Aquatic Animals

I bought a floating turtle feeder for my daughter's yellow-bellied slider. The fish turned out to be a lot bigger than we thought, almost the size of her turtle, but she loves to follow her around the tank and attack her for food. Definitely money well spent.

Do not use feed pellets Zoo Med

Interesting idea but poorly designed. The turtle feeding station was not a problem. The holes in the feeder are too small for the maintenance diet (manufactured by Zoo Med.). I drilled bigger holes but that didn't help. The feeder does not float high enough. The pellets will either sink or sink into the water when the feeder is gently lowered into the water. My turtles love it! Not scattered 😊

It's cute! I was concerned after reading the reviews that I was beginning to think it was huge. But it's fine as long as you have a tank that is at least 50 gallons, as long as your turtles are at least 5 inches tall and there is room to swim. My two young turtles love it but the downside is more than a few pellets came out! When I put it in the aquarium about 15 individuals swam out, too busy chasing pellets and not having time to bother with the feeder! I hope if I try again they will have a…

Much of the enrichment of the turtles!

This fish feeder made my red-eared slider's day more exciting. I love watching him "hunt" for his food and he gets so excited when he sees me pulling it out of the cupboard to fill it. This is a good size for his aquarium and the arrangement of the holes allows the pellets to fly out with relative ease. , I would say he pokes/bites him 3 times out of 5. So it's not so easy that they all come out at once, but it's also not so difficult that they don't see a reward. Stuffing the fish can be a bit
