Axie Infinity is a Pokémon-inspired digital pet universe where anyone can earn tokens through skillful gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem. Players can fight, collect, grow and build a land kingdom for their pets.

All Axie artistic assets and genetics can be easily accessed by third parties, allowing community developers and artists to create their own tools and experiences in the Axie Infinity universe. While Axie is still in Early Access, it is currently the # 1 NFT platform in Ethereum in terms of monthly active users.

While Axie is a fun game, it also has the characteristics of a social network and platform to work with because of its strong community and play to earn the opportunities that came from its early success.

The Axie team began development of the card combat system and real-time app in March 2019 and released an alpha version in December 2019. The combat system has been structured as an “idle combat” system, inspired by games such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Idle Heroes.

Axie's current combat system pits 3 Axies against each other in real time. At the start of each round, Axies are dealt cards based on their body parts. Players must choose cards that increase their chances of winning while anticipating which cards their opponents will play.

Similar to real pets, platform pets (called Axies) can be bred to create new offspring. To avoid Axies hyperinflation, Axie can only be bred 7 times. Each time Axie divorces, an increasing amount of Small Love Potion (SLP) is required. SLP can be earned by playing the game in the PvE Adventure mode as well as in the PvP Arena.

Each Axie has 6 body parts as well as a body shape. For each part, Axie has 3 genes. Dominant (D), recessive (R1) and minor recessive (R2).

The dominant gene is what defines the body part that is physically present on the Axie. When breeding, each gene has a chance to pass on to offspring. If a gene for a specific body part is not passed on, the characteristics of that body part will be randomized.

The AXS token has the following use cases:

* Management: AXS token holders will be able to post

their tokens and participate in voting on

management.

* Bet: Players will be able to bet their AXS to

receive weekly rewards.

* Payment: players can use the AXS token for gaming and

making payments.

Players will be able to earn AXS tokens by playing various games in the Axie Infinity universe and through custom content creation initiatives.

In early 2021, players will be able to stake AXS tokens to receive rewards. The number of AXS tokens that a player receives as a reward depends on whether he / she played the game and participated in the management vote within a certain period of time. All distributed rewards will be locked in a smart contract for 1 year.
