My review about CryptoKitties
Today i want to share you my experience with CryptoKitties.
I think CryptoKitties is the currently best known blockchain game, also i think i remember that it was one of the first.
The game principle is quickly explained:
You to buy kitties with cryptocurrency, you can feed and raise them and breed kitties to create new variants of kitties. You can sell the kitties you don't want or need, the rarer your bred kitties is, the more expensive you can sell it.
It's a blockchain based game, so you need a wallet to fund your game account. CryptoKitties is using MetaMask, one of the best known ether wallets out there. You can download MetaMask as a Chrome Browser Extension and connect your wallet directly with your game account. It's pretty easy, so you don't need to be an crypto expert to play this game.
Nevertheless i think it's recommended to have a bit of experience with crypto to play this game. If you don't know anything about blockchain or crypto currencies, it will be hard for you to understand how everything works in this game.
All in all, CryptoKitties can be a nice (but also expensive) pastime, but i wonder if anyone will have fun in the long run with playing this game.
Pros
- Game works fine, no bugs or crashes
- Easy to understand for people who have a bit of cryptocurrency knowledge.
Cons
- Current state of Ethereum blockchain isn't scalable enough for this game. In the past the chain was congested because of games like CryptoKitties.
- I think you need to pay more for than game than you will get back by raising and selling kitties.
- Maybe it's just my opinion, but it's not that much fun. I would claim: if this game wouldn't be a blockchain based game, nobody would play it.

It was a very good comment. I became a member, I played the game, but its popularity decreased and trade became difficult. Even the most valuable cats can be sold cheaply because their users are less and no one buys easily. Everyone wants to sell cats. People who buy are few. But there is no lie that he earned some players some serious money before.

Yes, I agree. This game is really easy to play and move on, but perhaps, it is not so enjoyable like others on the blockchain games we already have. However, it's a little bit unique and to start playing and understanding the crypto world it is recommended.

The CryptoKitties can be bred with others to create new breeds and spawn new characteristics that could ultimately be good or bad. Each cat has its own unique number and 256-bit genome and DNA. Their mouth shapes, fur, colors and personality characteristics are passed down from parent to child cat.
