Hello everyone. In September 2020, we released a new game called LiteBringer. An online game that works without a server is almost impossible to shut down. We can’t even ban an unnecessary player in the first place because it’s impossible to cheat or break. You can download a computer client for free, but you will have to pay for everything you do in the game, and you can still make money. It is a very difficult game to explain to people who are not familiar with cryptocurrencies. Understanding this can also be helpful, as we believe that at CipSoft, blockchain has the potential to change games. Running MMORPG for more than 20 years, as with Tibia, makes some things understandable. For example: You can never produce enough content. : A: It's hard to balance. Here’s a lesson that ultimately led to the development of LiteBringer: Digital assets have real value. Tibia has heroes and items worth several thousand euros, and players buy and sell them every day. Some people even make money, but we have to use the somewhat risky black market because we can’t participate. 'I'll tell you the details, but if CipSoft can provide a perfect service for transactions between players with real money, we'll need a bank license. Blocking technology with decentralized architecture fixes this. You can create a game that can be sold without any intermediary needs. LiteBringer, the first game to work fully on the Litecoin blockchain, means that every action in this game is a transaction on the blockchain. In a nutshell, blocking is a decentralized, publicly accessible database that is used to record and verify transactions through a peer-to-peer system. What is especially interesting in the context of the game is that it removes infinite multiplication from a digital asset. More specifically: As the creator of LiteBringer, we can’t just create things or symbols out of thin air, we have to make them like everyone else. It is almost impossible to control the game mode using blockchain. Every transaction is explained by all customers, so any asset obtained through manipulation is not available to anyone else. Even in a thousand years, creating a game where all the logic of the game is blocked requires game design that is divided into one turn. So we asked ourselves what the core of the RPG was? Of course, the long answer is more complex and nuanced, but we’ve basically divided it into this: You have heroes who go on quests, you collect loot and experience, you can level them up and move on. This is the basic concept of Tibia and other RPGs. But when you do all this on LiteBringer, your characters and stuff will be more valuable and you can trade for Litecoins anytime. This gives the whole game the feeling that you are not into other games. LiteBringer is a trading simulation with free gaming and RPG elements at its core. There are characters and animals, elements and influences, sources and rare weapons. When I realized the potential of blockchain technology for online games in 2015, there wasn’t much cryptocurrency around. So with Bitcoin in mind, I laid the groundwork for the game. In 2017, when CipSoft really started working on the game and the technology behind it, we realized that there was an enlarged issue. There are only a limited number of transactions that can be made in Bitcoin, and if you want to create a game based on many transactions, you will end up with a very high fee. The most natural solution for us was to switch to Bitcoin's younger and faster brother, Litecoin. Transaction fees are very low and guaranteed to remain low in the future, so this was very convenient for our game. Although Litecoin is designed to be used as a currency, the scripting language allows you to store small amounts of metadata. This 80-byte space is what is required to encode all relevant gameplay. The logic of the game itself is written in C #, where we use open-source application interfaces to receive and send blocking operations. The corresponding graphics client was created with Unity.
