Generally speaking, I believe that LTC has a bright future and will continue to expand it's network/nodes/user base. As long as the team continues to innovate and market Litecoin, I believe the price will continue to gain value as Litecoin gains traction as a coin that was designed to be used daily as a fiat replacement(unlike Bitcoin which has become a store of value rather then a fiat alternative/replacement.

Pros
  • I like this project because it checks off most of what I consider to be absolutely necessary aspects of any solid crypto project that i believe will continue to grow, in price/nodes/transactions/innovation. Some of the questions I ask myself(and ultimately thoroughly research before even considering investing) are: 1.) Who is the team behind the project? -what is the background of individuals who hold management and or important decisions in the company? -where did they work prior to this project? -what is the reputation of management/founding members?(are they known and trusted?) 2.) Does the whitepaper make sense? -is the technology discussed physically possible? -has this kind of tech worked in a real world scalable environment? 3.) What does the Roadmap tell me about the team? -Is it ambitious without infringing on impossible? -Have they met key dates on the roadmap? 4.) What is the total supply on the market today and how many total coins will be mined? -Is there a cap on total supply? -who controls a majority of the current supply? -is there lockups in place and if so when do they expire? -How many coins are mined per block and how often? Do they halve at some point and if so when and how often? Based on those questions, I am positive about the future of LTC because of the founder Charlie Lee who previously worked at Google and has been active in almost every aspect of LTC since its inception
Cons
  • Litecoin is a fork of the Bitcoin software and as such the technology is similar and will face similar hurdles as it pertains to scalability. Litecoin does not have the first movers advantage. Also due to its inception date in early 2011, blockchain tech is constantly improving and Litecoin does not have the advantage of learning from other projects mistakes.
