For its price (if you do not want to pay more) - the best choice! Got pros: Appearance (no hump), compactness, ease of transportation, charging from a powerbank, it is easier to control the touch screen, because it does not turn away far from the right hand. Some cons: Constantly wants to slip out of the hand, very uncomfortable grip. 4k with an additional crop, functions in the settings have been cut, no 30fps in 4k (only up to 25fps) and also there is no 60fps in FullHD (only up to 50fps)

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I often shoot handheld and such a stub and compactness with UHD really help out, in general, in terms of price-quality ratio, it’s better not to come up with. I use it for video only. Has some pros UHD 100MB with stabilization and very good (especially dual IS), sharp and clear (no anti-moire filter) image quality, convenient settings, focus peaking, 2 types of AVCHD and MP4 recording, wifi control, usb charging into the camera. There is a 2x FHD crop function without quality loss. Compatible…

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

The best device in this range (or you can buy it by hand), while it pleases me in many ways. Has some pros With lumix for several months + 20mm 1.7 v2, a sort of standard cool kit, in this form you can just put it in your pocket. The most important plus is its stabilizer, which is basically why I took it, and not the sony a6300 at the same price, on sony any shot from the hands will simply be smeared with at least some aperture and shutter speed of 40-50. Lumix is more interesting with this…

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

With me for the third year. I bought a double kit in the states, then I sold both lenses - so the carcass itself came out inexpensively. On trips I take 12-60 + 15 with me, for shooting a child in a photo and video - 15 + 35-100 / 2.8. Both sets fit into a medium-sized fanny pack, which is priceless. From the point of view of my requirements for optics, there are no alternatives to the system yet: Canon M does not have normal zooms, Fuji does not have a regular pancake and a huge light…

    Pros
    • Compared to the old GM1, it works much faster, the focus is more accurate (especially in video), the colors are better, and there is less noise. Excellent video stabilization in HD, you can safely shoot at 15 mm handheld, stomping on foot (I don’t use 4K - I don’t have anything to watch it on). Wifi works great. There is clean HDMI output - suitable for vlogging or streaming if you add hdmi capture. The photo quality is good, high-quality optics gladly resolves 16 megapixels. Pretty high customizability of menus, buttons and wheels.
    Cons
    • If you look closely, the matrix makes noise in the shadows already at the base ISO. The viewfinder is small, fuzzy and with acid colors - I immediately turned it off and do not use it. Wouldn't hurt bluetooth to put geotagging in the background. The grip is small and not very comfortable, and the extra one increases the thickness of the camera. The battery is not very capacious, there is no percentage charge. There is no microphone jack. Doesn't work as a webcam over USB.

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

About stub. If you hang a portrait lens on it, and just shoot static frames, the stub works with a bang! But if you want to move the camera, then he does not always understand what is happening. The sound was not very encouraging. Yes, you can hear that it's stereo, like cheap stereo. With an iPhone, the sound is clearer for me. Compared to DSLRs, the camera does not lie in the hand. Often I twist something by accident or press it. Another of the minuses of the setting. This is where you can…

    Pros
    • Small, comfortable, price, quality, stabilizer
    Cons
    • The stabilizer often does not work correctly. The sound of the recording is not ice at all. Uncomfortable. Often I click on something superfluous or accidentally twist the wheel. The menu can break your head.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I bought about a month ago to replace the GX-7. For such a price, just a gift, even taking into account the dollar exchange rate. Unfortunately, when shooting in 4k, the crop is already completely indecent, so it makes sense to immediately think about purchasing wide-angle lenses. The 12-35 2.8 lens is generally becoming extremely necessary. With its pros. - Price; - Shoots video in 4k; - Built-in stabilizer, which also works in 4k; - Charging via USB; - Old battery format, no need to change…

GX8 + Leica 8-18mm in the Camera & Photo category

One of the best 8-18 camera/lens combinations. But with one caveat, you need to know what you're doing with the shutter speed, as the on-camera Ibis is useless with the Leica 8-18 and other lenses without Pana OIS stabilization. But once you get to know the body with help and practice, it's a winner.

Fast, flexible and versatile photo/video tool

Lightning-fast autofocus with S-AF. by far the fastest I've seen in a mirrorless camera. The body stabilizer works well with Oly lenses, and the dual stabilizer performs very well in my tests (using a Panasonic 35-100 f2.8). The tilting electronic viewfinder really showcases the camera's ergonomics, especially when combined with the ability to select focus points via the touchscreen. The video quality is top notch, even 1080p is awesome! If you are looking for the m43 I think this is the best…

    Favorite camera for 3 years

I like the Micro Four Thirds system for its smaller and lighter lenses (and therefore more convenient and portable) than other systems. And this is by far my favorite camera body out of all the cameras I've used, micro 4/3, film, APS-C or whatever. Unfortunately it didn't get the updated shutter mechanism in time, but that's not a problem with most lenses and the form factor, controls and viewfinder are mostly perfect. Even today, almost 3 years after the release, I can't decide which camera…

    Great camera with problems

This is a good low light camera with many features. But before buying I would try it. The camera definitely has ergonomic issues like weight, size, button placement and you can't completely disable touch focus 😡😡😡😡. So if you have a dominant left eye and use the EVF with the LCD on, your nose (if yours is as big as mine) will change focus every time. The button along the trackpad in the lower right corner is easy to activate and change settings. There are some fun solutions to these…

I really wanted a dedicated 3.5mm audio jack.

I am a beginner and at best a beginner/intermediate photographer. I wanted something with a better sensor/quality than most dedicated camcorders and also start taking some good photos here and there when I travel for work. I really liked this camera and for me it was better than the GH4 in terms of photo/video quality. It was also smaller and easier to hold than the GH4. Felt like a great camera for taking videos and photos on the go. The shared mic/remote port was a deal breaker for me…

An amazing semi-professional MFT camera that shoots great video.

I bought this after much research as a welcome upgrade to my venerable GF1 (2010). I've heard a lot about the GX9 so I've argued between them, but I think I made the right choice. The build quality is fantastic - solid and heavy, comfortable to hold all day and stable. Furthermore, the OLED viewfinder doesn't say anything about the fact that taking pictures is a pleasure when looking into this great thing. Bright and big, it helped me with my composition. The menus are a dizzying array of…

    Impressive camera on mirrorless cameras

I had this camera and used it for almost a year. I have many Panasonic lenses and one Olympus lens and they all work with the GX8. However, only the new ones will have double stabilization - I don't know if that makes a difference. I also own a few Panasonic and Canon cameras and consider myself a serious amateur photographer, so here it is. I will only highlight some of the most important points as the full reviews are readily available. For the elderly or hikers, despite all its features, it…

    Pros

    Cons
    • Useless features

A very handy camera that is easy to hold and use. Why even use a mirror reflection design when these cameras don't have a mirror anyway? The movable viewfinder is a big bonus. The reduction in body shake combined with a lens that has anti-shake is fantastic. Did I mention in-camera stitching of panoramic sequences? I remember having to do this with software on my computer. In my opinion, a rangefinder camera is much more stylish than a clunky DSLR, which has always been a necessary compromise…

    Beautiful Panasonic!

I'm a big fan of the MFT cameras and also a big fan of the GX8. I've had it for a little over a month and I love it. I've used the EM-5 before, which is also a great camera, but videos have always let me down. The autofocus was also good, but never to my liking. I also added a grip like many others to hold the camera better. So, after many great reviews of Panasonic cameras including this one, I dug into them. What struck me when I first turned it on was the menu. I think they look great, are…
