Broken on first use: Auto glass

I bought one of these a few years ago and it has lasted about 3 years with minimal use. Decided it was time to fix it again. Installation was easy. The first time I tried to close it, it burst. Revain refunded the money straight away and I didn't even have to return the product. Trust the 1-star ratings and choose OEM.

  • Easy set up
Cons
  • Fairly ok

Weak attachment point. Broke during installation.

Garbage. Broke during installation. Solid parts, weakest point is a razor-thin line of plastic meant to act as a hinge. As soon as it was pressed, it snapped like a dead branch on a cold autumn day. Look elsewhere, it was a waste of time. Revain refunded my money so 5 stars for that!

Broken Slider Latch - Trash for 95 Ram 2500

I installed this to fix a broken slide window latch on my Diesel 95 Ram 2500. Pretty low price with Prime I figured and thought it would work. Received the part yesterday, tried to install it today and after installing the latch and the latch I tried to close the latch. It was tight so I pushed a little harder and the latch broke. Complete crap like most other reviewers said. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PRODUCT.

Scrap - Auto Glass

My old latch broke years ago and I bought a new one in a parking lot. This one broke after 2 years and I finally found the time to look for a new one. I bought this junk and received it within two days. I immediately put it on the window (I've been a mechanic and bodybuilder my entire adult life and started working in a motorcycle shop with my father when I was 5). This $%@& part broke the first time I tried to break it. Didn't even try to get it to snap! I will not buy this brand of locks…

It closes tightly, which is good, but it closes tight enough that it drives.

I just received and installed a window lock on my 89ft F-250. The lock is very cheaply made and I expect it will break very soon. The screws that come with it are too big and I had to use the original screws that came with it. It closes tightly, which is good, but it closes so tightly that it will be its downfall and eventually break off. Unfortunately I haven't found another lock that works for the rear window so I'm stuck. Glad it was cheap.

INSTALLING THIS THING IS AWESOME; DO NOT BUY

Tiny screws will NOT fit existing holes. If you try to screw them in, CUT THE EXISTING HOLES AND SEAL. These screws must be made of monkey metal so that they can be pressed into the soft aluminum frame of the sash. But you won't be able to drill out broken bolts. Luckily I was able to drill two small holes directly into the existing holes. Carefully choose the size of the hole, then partially thread the remaining screws in and out to pre-cut the holes before installing the plastic lock. IF I…
