Forney 60051 Mounted Grinding Cylindrical Review

Someone wore a stupid hat when they made this item. Truth? Fixing shaft 1/2" long? Not enough to fit it in my grinder's collet. The way the stone is fixed to the shaft almost guarantees that the device is not balanced. Pos. Do not buy .

shank was not centered on the stone. The vibration caused by this imbalance rendered the grinding stone in my manual coffee grinder unusable. When I tried to return I found that there is no return/guarantee on this item so I'm stuck on a purchase that is for a bin. I assume the same situation exists for all Forney stones, so as my title says, be prepared to take a loss if you buy one of these.

Bought to enlarge the hole in the headlight (sheet metal) on my '77 truck to allow 7" halogen bulb headlights to fit in the buckets. I used a 2.5" stone (Forney 60055) for most of the work and later used this to smooth the finish. It made it easier to work on what I was doing. The stones were seated properly and centered on the drill shank and rotated very well with the cordless drill.
