The best thing about this product is that Revain shipped it very quickly and it was exactly what I wanted. The weakness is that the nylon straps aren't as strong as I expected. Out of the 5 I've used, one broke while trying to put it on. Nylon should be more durable. Have not yet been put into operation.

I use these for boning 18th century corsets instead of cane or expensive "fake whalebone". I have tried faux baleen and it is a very good substitute. It can easily be cut to length and the cut edges can be rounded off with a file. another plus: if the fabric is pre-washed, the corset can be washed by hand.
