Spring Compressor for tools and equipment

This is a must have for anyone working on their vehicles. I bought these superficially to replace the springs on my 22" Polaris Sportler and they have worked great. They are well constructed and relatively easy to use.

Pros
  • Perfect for me
Cons
  • Style 90

They do their job best in the tools and gear department

They were basically the same guy I could borrow for free at a car shop. They work, not for the faint of heart. Thoughts were questionable as they give a bit under spring load. They did a great job, they got the job done. A tool I will have for my next job.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Some bugs

Quality product, did the job.

Product works as advertised. I added a side-by-side lift kit to my Polaris Ranger and had to compress the springs to install the kit. It takes a little fiddling with the tool to understand how it works and the best way to compress the spring, but it's fairly intuitive if you're at all mechanically inclined.

Pros
  • Amazing

Very good value for money

I used them to fit lower springs. Remember that the springs are designed for minimal drop and are therefore very stiff. I've used an air operated percussion pistol on the 1/2" drive built into them and they didn't think of it as anything. They are very heavy and very durable. They are very good value for money but always use caution when using them or a spring compressor.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Not sure

Pleasantly surprised - not even sketchy

Needed to replace the A-pillars on my 2008 Cobalt SS TC. I was a bit hesitant to rebuild the racks myself as they don't sell quick release racks for SS. These worked great! This may be the type of product that works well, but I've never worried about the spring popping out and I got the job done in no time. I'm glad I bought them and won't hesitate to look into spacers again.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

Shoot and forget. for tools and equipment

Used to compress coils on GMC AT4 for alignment kit. Probably not appreciated for it, but still tired. Needless to say they worked but it was a struggle the whole time. Had to use 1/2 hit to compress them to where I need them. I had problems on the second roll. In the end, one of them undressed and tried to take it off. Barely removed without cropping. I won't be able to use them again but they worked for what I needed them for. Shoot and forget.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Good tool, wrong size.

Spring compression was not an issue. The springs I ordered didn't have a diameter specified anywhere, so the compressors were too small. The bolts on the compressor actually bent about 20 degrees during use. The design of the supercharger meant it could only be placed in one spring, which limited tools for tightening. Removing the supercharger from the spring was a much bigger problem as the spring was no longer held by the car. All in all, not a bad tool, but not the right tool for my job.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
