I bought a pair of these to keep cats from opening the bedroom sliding doors and they are perfect. I was pleasantly surprised at how big and heavy they were and they were an easy fix to a problem. The workmanship is very good and they will definitely suit any indoor or outdoor space.

I have a sliding door in my bathroom and my little one year old daughter comes in all the time but now she can't and that's one less thing to worry about her getting into something she shouldn't. Honestly, I was surprised how thick and big it is. It works great even though I just bought a latch for a sliding door to my house. This is great, but since it looks like it needs to take a lot of tension I recommend buying longer bolts than the ones included in the kit. They worked great for setting mine, but I don't think we'll have anything we really need to open or prevent opening with significant effort. quality product.

I make my front gate out of fancy old beaded closet doors. I've never done anything like this and the first clasps I ordered were too small. I bought them mainly because of the size and the good reviews. When they arrived I was very happy. I got the right size and they were really nice and heavy, durable and beautiful. I use my own #8 stainless steel wood screws to hold them in place and the other screws are #10 stainless steel sheet metal screws. I love everything about them.

It is easy to install, but once installed it keeps banging on the door when we open the door. The noise level was so annoying we just removed it and lowered it. We used it on our main bathroom doors as they didn't have locks. But as said, if you plan on installing the hook piece on the doors yourself, prepare for loud rebounding noises when you close or open the doors unless you tie it with velcro or something similar. Otherwise it is a strong hook lock. Very durable.

The lock on the doorknob of our rental car broke and our overly curious 4 year old daughter is happy to come in when we'd rather not.
