Description of SEESII Portable TinySA Spectrum Analyzer V0.3.1 With SMA Male To UHF Female Cables, 100KHz To 960MHz Frequency Range, 2.8'' Touchscreen And Signal Generator For MF/HF/VHF UHF Input Analysis

【Frequency Range 】Tiny Spectrum Analyzer with two inputs, high quality MF/HF/VHF input for 0.1MHZ-350MHz, lesser quality UHF input for 240MHz-960MHz. Switchable resolution bandpass filters for both ranges between 2.6kHz and 640kHz. Color display showing 290 scan points covering up to the full low or high frequency rangefrequency range. The tinySA contains all the components of a conventional heterodyne swept spectrum analyzer. 【Built-in Calibration Signal Generator】When not used as Spectrum Analyzer it can be used as Signal Generator, MF/HF/VHF sinus output between 0.1MHZ-350MHz, UHF square wave output between 240MHz-960MHz. Built-in calibration signal generator that is used for automatic self test and low input calibration. 【Tiny Spectrum analyzers】Switchable resolution bandpass filters for both ranges between 2.6kHz and 640kHz.Color display showing 290 scan points covering up to the full low or high frequency range. Bulit-in rechargeable battery allowing a minimum of at least 2 hours portable use. 【PC Control】Connected to a PC via USB it becomes a PC controlled Spectrum Analyzer. The USB interface implements the Serial over USB (CDC) protocol and there is a large set of commands that can be invoked over the serial interface. These command can be used to perform measurements or update internal settings. The driver for Windows will install automatically after connecting to a Windows PC. The driver for Linux is built into the kernel. 【Package List】1x Tiny Spectrum Analyzer; 2 x 20cm RF Cable;1 x USB Cable;1 x SMA Female to Female Connector;1x Touchscreen Pen;2x SMA Male to UHF Female Cables; 1 x SMA Telescopic Antenna. It's very useful as an antenna analyzer for your ham station, easy to set without fancy calibration.

Good Lower Frequency Range Spectrum

For the price you can hardly beat this little gem.It is very handy and is accurate enough for many applications.I also use a Agilent Field Fox so I am accustomed to a high end units accuracy and flexibility but this little unit is really nice to have for interference hunting, signal sweeps and relative signal strength comparisons.

Pros
  • Seems to work as advertised. Given how low the cost is, I am very satisfied.
Cons
  • Make sure you get an original. This is not and will not pass calibration.

Nice, but.tiny, no user manual, no pc software or link.

Since the screen is tiny, I purchased it for the PC interface, USB. So I expected a book with a URL to download SA software, no flimsy paper manual or link for this, really? Definitely disappointed in that, might raise this to 5 stars with a user manual and a link for the software.

Pros
  • I’m amazed that I can get a pocket sized portable Spectrum Analyzer for less that $100.00.
Cons
  • The product has a relatively limited frequency range, which may not be suitable for those looking to analyze signals in higher frequency bands

Small Size with lots of features

Product is great for having a hand held version of a instrument that is usually better than 30lbs. quite accurate and you get a signal generator in the mix.

Pros
  • Great piece of test equipment. Easy to use. Can also be used as a signal generator.
Cons
  • The 2.8' touchscreen may be too small for comfortable use, especially for users with larger fingers or those who wear glasses

Nice for the price/ But there are minor flaws

The TinySA works just fine! And so far in testing, the accuracy of this device is not to bad. First thing, an ACTUAL instruction manual would have been really nice. There is no documentation at all on how to operate the TinySA. Luckily there are several YouTube vids out there to help you along. The menu IS a bit confusing. There is a lot of back and fourth in the menu to set the parameters you desire. Once again, nothing is clearly explained. The "LISTEN” feature seems to be disabled, this…

Pros
  • Test, Measure & Inspect
Cons
  • The price point may be too high for some users, especially those who only need basic spectrum analysis functionality and cannot justify the cost of additional features like the signal generator

Fun Project good for me

This is a fun project to tinker with and learn about RF, and has some powerful features, especially for the price! Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Good for locating frequency's in FM radios.
Cons
  • The included SMA male to UHF female cables may not be long enough for some users depending on their setup, which could require additional purchases or adaptations

What a wonderful tool

I've wanted a spectrum analyzer. I never thought I would be able to afford one, and then I ran across these. Simply amazing! The best bang for the buck there ever was.

Pros
  • Lots of info on the net about this device. Enjoy!
Cons
  • The signal generator feature may not be as accurate or precise as standalone signal generators, meaning that users may need to verify their results with additional equipment
