A while ago I decided to explore more trading options, so I searched for other exchange platforms that could best suit my needs and I found Kraken. When I logged in I remember feeling not too impressed, but I decided to see what the exchange platform had to offer. I started the registration process. All they asked for was an email address, then your username, and a strong password. After filling in my details, and submitting them I received an email with a verification link and code.
However, I noticed that I could not trade until I verified my account first. You have to provide some personal information which I did and I less than 2 minutes I was verified. There are different types of verification levels. You can either choose to provide simple formation or financial information and even provide a valid ID instead. Each of the steps takes different amounts of time with the financial info being the longest. But the more information you give them, the more opportunities you get on the exchange platform.
The interface of Kraken is very plain and simple although I feel they can improve the structure and arrangement. They should also make it more attractive to users. Ever since 2013 when I was launched, kraken has been known for its low fees and charges so for me, this is definitely a plus. The next step I took after was to secure my account with 2FA in order to prevent unwanted access. Thereafter you can proceed to fund your account. Fiat currencies are accepted and you can also make withdrawals through wire transfer. When I checked the list o supported assets I found more than 40 coins so that is also a good thing.
In case there are problems, there is a live action chat box that you can engage. I have not used this feature personally so I can't say much about their customer support. But from what others say I think it is efficient. Kraken is a very simple and easy to use exchange and I will encourage any trader to use it for trading activities.
