The centralised exchange platform poloniex was created in the United States. It was founded in early 2013, and it is focused on the trade of digital assets such as bitcoin, Ethereum, and others. It was well-known for its secure transactions and user engagement, with little danger of hackers or other users. However, in 2014, it was hacked, leading to claims that it had gone bankrupt and a significant drop in the number of members.

It was eventually sold, allowing it to climb once again, and today poloniex is ranked 23rd in the digital asset society's records, promising to do even better in the future.
