Works well. - Car safety

Good thing a device is marked as "receiver" otherwise you have to install the product twice. Again, not for the "occassion" person, I recommend buying and then paying a professional to install it if you're not good with electrical work. BTW, depending on the vehicle, this might not be the best way. For me, the presence of a minivan. Running the video cable from back to front would be messy and time consuming. This works well as I only had to disassemble part of the back and front to fit the…

Poor range best in car electronics

I installed this unit for my camera on my caravan to be able to use the camera in a pickup truck while driving and reversing without a cable connection. I routed the camera's cables so that they were within eight feet of the truck that the receiver was in. I figured I only had to send the image fifty feet for it to work. The camera signal is too weak and breaks off so badly that I couldn't use it. The blocks get very hot during operation. The only reason I gave two stars was that all the cables

Surprisingly strong signal

I have used this product and installed it on my 2012 Elantra. I installed the transmitter on the trunk lid behind the carpet/cardboard paneling and the receiver behind the paneling next to the factory radio. I had no idea if I could even get a picture based on the position of the transmitter and receiver. I was amazed that the signal was very clear and uninterrupted. I was sure those little antennas wouldn't work properly, but I was pleasantly surprised that they did. Good product, I bought a…

Suitable for use, does not get hot

Bought for a car backup system. Concerned about heating complaints. But so far I haven't seen that. They get a little warm, but nothing to touch or hold. I think the heat issue might be related to the applied voltage. I connected the transmitter to the rear light and the receiver to the cigarette lighter. The transmitter is located in the tailgate dashboard and the receiver is located under the driver's side step strip. I glued them to the metal parts so they dissolve quickly even when they get

Great product, strong signal

Ideal for connecting any camcorder to a wireless network. Tested the wireless range (at my house) by unplugging the transmitter/camera and receiver and found that the picture was still good at almost 70 feet, even though the transmitter and receiver also had to go through all the walls in my house since the transmitter is located below and the receiver is above. So if you just need to use this for your car, van or truck then it should be great as the distance is much shorter. I plan to use this

Wireless, yes, but not great

I have another wireless video system that I use to monitor covert traffic behind my RV. The one I have now was made by PEAK and sold by Sam's Club. While the camera and 7-inch monitor were very adequate, the RF transmitter is sub-par and 'cuts out' on the road for no good reason, making it unreliable for watching traffic from behind. In fact, I use a direct connection with great success. , although impractical, given the problems with connection and wiring. I bought a set of these devices in…

Now Let's Have Fun

TL;DR: Yahoo! TO BUY! Otherwise let me entertain you. Last year I fenced my property with a 6 foot high fence that you can't see at all. Our driveway runs between a fence and a small outbuilding into an alleyway behind our house, leaving us with a completely blind alleyway entrance. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have a big pickup and have to reverse - I really have no idea what's going on in the alley. And of course there are a few pranksters who happen to be wandering up and…
