Works great with spares

This converter was easy to install and good quality. Taking off one star because the replacement bolts were too big for my 2002 Subaru Forester - I had to use the old ones. Also, the elbows don't quite fit right, but that wasn't a big problem.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Security

Codes started popping up after about 18 months

I thought I fixed my 2005 OB truck with 300k on the clock with this and honestly it worked for a year and a half. During an overland trip to Montana, the CEL caught fire with a Catalyst Efficiency Error. I thought it might be an air leak but all the seals are fine. So you must have time to replace them before winter.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not trendy

Didn't exactly match the original.

We had the old catalytic converter(s; two in a row) and downpipe removed from the car before we could tell the new catalytic converter was a slightly different shape/length so we'll pull think about it. Heat shields aren't enough. We didn't want the heat shields to rattle and rattle, we didn't want to leave them, and it looks like the air sensor connector holes on the new transmitter don't line up with the holes in the heat shields. . In the end we sent the item back.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Running speed

Didn't fit in my car.

Didn't fit my 2000 Legacy 2.5L I had to cut my old cat out due to rust and when I decided to install this one it was about an inch too long and the rear flange was at the wrong angle even if I managed to put it in place. I couldn't reach the project in time to get it back so I ran out of money and had to buy a much more expensive one to keep my car decent so I could drive to work. The product itself looked nice and solidly built, but installation was terrible and I can't comment on performance…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Legacy model

Does not meet OEM specifications.

I read the reviews and some said it was a direct match. With all my might It is larger in diameter than OEM connectors. Sounds great, looks great, misleading information. The screws that came with it didn't even work. The spring bolts came loose before I could even put the nut on them. If the gasket isn't fubar, it won't fit. It's time to buy a set of headers. ffs.2005 Forester X, full inventory. Absolutely no modification other than (now) this cat converter. Yes, I know what I'm doing. Yes, I…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Worked well: catalytic converters and parts

Installation was better than expected for $150, unfortunately after 1 day I noticed quite a lot of rumble which seemed to be coming from inside the rear cat. UPDATE: This part has 3 connectors for O2/AF sensors. On the Subaru it was designed for, you only need 2 sensors. I found that the rattle was caused by the third connector becoming loose to the point where it rattled heavily. After tightening, the rattling is almost completely gone. So I'm changing my rating to 4 stars as the only part…

  • Several competitors

After sales expectations

It was a great price, product arrived on time, 90% fit. I had to adjust the bottom a bit to get it right. As other people have said, the screws they send you are the wrong size (too big) and don't fit. So either ditch the old screws or prepare yourself with the correct screws that you bought yourself. The only real problem I had was that it sounded like I installed it wrong, like it was installed wrong, like there was a hole in it and there was a hole. Right where the front oxygen sensor was…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good value with some tweaks.

It was very profitable for the price. I had hardware issues like some others but it worked out. I got 2 different sized bolts for the front flange, one was too big but the other would fit. I only used the original screws. The rear bolts with springs were too short to screw in at all. I had already ordered a set of Bosal bolts before deciding on this catalytic converter so I used the shorter springs from that set. The only issue I had with installing it is that it is very close to the transaxle…

Pros
  • Makes you happy
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Fits my 2002 Subaru Impreza TS Wagon 2.5L snugly. Looks amazing and has the most value for cat converters online. Repeat after 1 month. The exhaust rattles a lot, I checked it in the workshop where it was installed, no heat shields and mountings make noise. They indicated something was broken or loose in the exhaust pipe and sounded bad. Emailed Autosaver88 2 weeks ago but no response. Asked for warranty information, no answer. Guess they don't care about customers or even enough to respond…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Wrinkled
