This book is beautifully designed but very difficult to read. As a beginner at quilting, the instructions seemed too schematic to me. I went out and spent a decent amount of money to buy all the materials needed for the first project. Following the instructions in the letter, I ended up with unlined bags that don't really look finished. The instructions also require that the tying be done last, after the tab is attached. Each template is preceded by a short thematic tutorial, but I would prefer an extended tutorial and no templates at all, or maybe one template to cover 2-3 lessons.
