Review on Design, Create, and Quilt: A Comprehensive Guide to Designing Quilts with Lessons, Techniques, and Patterns by Carrie Spencer

I don't usually use other people's patterns for my quilts. So this book was a little disappointing. Each template is preceded by a short thematic tutorial, but I would prefer an extended tutorial and no templates at all, or maybe one template to cover 2-3 lessons. I should have known - I once owned "Landscapes of Dreams" by the author, but I sold it because. I'm not a fan of patterns. The Amazon preview of this book downplayed the templates and I was fooled that there would be few or none. entirely my fault but I probably won't use the book much anyway because of my aversion to templates.
