Keeps doors closed.

Well, what can I say, but this gadget is cheap, easy to install and works. I have a fridge freezer in the basement that is a year old but when you close the fridge door the freezer opens and doesn't keep closing. We're not in the laundry room enough to notice, so we solved the problem with this little trick without too much fuss. The latch only prevents the door from opening too far for the magnetic seal to close on its own. And it is very easy to open the latch with your thumb and open theโ€ฆ

Installation requires 3M control strips

I have a Kenmore refrigerator in my garage that opens the freezer door when you close it. And with 4 kids in the house I can't count on them to notice. In any case, this bar has a great design, but the supplied adhesive stickers are absolutely useless. I've found that installing a long latch with 2 medium 3M command strips is an absolute must, otherwise you might end up tossing it in the trash because it won't stick. I use a flathead screwdriver to scrape off the installed foam sticker andโ€ฆ

Problem solved!

UPDATE 12/15/2015: The lock was great until a kid discovered we were rigging it to open the freezer. So he walked over and ripped the latch off pretty easily. I can't force him to stay. Maybe sticking it to the fridge will make it last longer. It was nice while it lasted. :( I've changed my rating from the original 5 to 3 stars. It's been a good job, Dreambaby. (Original review >) We have a bottom drawer freezer that has saved children's lives from the freezer (in fact, saved food!) .. Wasn'tโ€ฆ
