A must when buying Fiebing's black leather paint!

I have followed the advice of others who have reviewed Fiebing's Black Leather Paint by ordering it from her. What a difference between using a dye and after the paint has dried! It kept my Matte Black Tieks looking new. Be sure to buy this with dye and follow the advice of other reviewers.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Project saved from the recycle bin.

New in leather but no. This material really helped complete the project. I made my phone case too tight. An alcohol-water solution was used to stretch the skin. Still too tight, and the fleshy side of the skin stuck to the phone like glue. I smeared Resolene and smoothed it out with a polishing rod. The phone is now effortlessly inserted and removed with one hand.

  • Easy to use

  • No automatic

Works EXACTLY as advertised!

I bought Fiebing Clear Acrylic Resolene as a top coat for my recently repainted leather sofa. The product is wonderful. I started with the Leather Max Tan Kit as the sofa is camel - I knew I had to mix my own color (HIGHLY recommend this product btw). As instructed, I let the Leather Max sit for 24 hours to "cure". The next day I used a clean Leather Max sponge to apply Fiebing's. It worked EXACTLY as described. Fiebing's was smooth and easy, there was no transferring/fading/removing Leather…

Easy to use, stunning results

I have applied this paint 50/50 with distilled water, very thin and got great results. If you apply thicker layers, you will get unwanted bubbles. It's possible to apply thicker coats with perfect technique, but if you're new to it, thin, quick-drying coats are more foolproof. I recommend using a small piece of lint free synthetic suede. Dip it, then pinch firmly to get everything out of the fabric. Apply in circular motions until area is evenly damp. Continue to the next area until you're…

Many leather items have been restored!

It's amazing! I used this top coat in combination with a leather moisturizer and leather stain. It can provide a light finish with a slight sheen, or a very glossy finish with repeated applications. I restored a few heels and a few handbags that looked dull and worn and while the black stain was important, restoring them to their original look was even more important. I once skipped a color and used this coat in my purse after dipping it in a skin moisturizer. He set the moisturizer in place…

Peel Stop Leather Chair

Good Features: I recently moved to Hawaii which has been great for me and not so good for my pumpkin orange decorative lounge chair. My favorite chair - so much so that I posted it here. Well, as soon as my chair was exposed to heat and humidity, it started to peel off. Quite far back at first but got bigger every time we sat on it. I bought this product to "paint" the cleaned part to prevent further peeling. And it worked great. The peeling has stopped. Cons: The product was very runny, so…

DO NOT USE when 'CLUB AND FOAM' item arrives - also NON RETURNABLE

I encountered the same defective product as another reviewer. I opened the bottle the day it was delivered and it was watery, frothy with clumps of hard balls of white wax, for lack of a better word. As another reviewer said, "think curdled milk". I was very disappointed as with all the great reviews I'm sure this is an excellent product. I have just received a bottle which may not have been properly stored prior to arrival. Your product will arrive as described above. Out of the hundreds of…

Ideal for beginners leather covers!

I first ordered Feibing paint to paint the belt. I still had almost the entire bottle left so I pulled out some old leather boots I bought at a thrift store that looked very sad and worn and in desperate need of some love. I didn't have any leather polish remover, but I did have some 100% acetone in my nail polish drawer, which did a great job of getting the shiny finish off my boots (and it's very cheap). After the acetone dried (and I rebuilt the brain cells I lost on this project in a…
