I liked this beautiful jar down to the PLASTIC washer, that allows the lid to close slowly is broken. I tried to find the part but to no avail. Now the lid closes. I paid almost $100 for it in June. 3 months in use and now it needs to be replaced. Do you have details that solve the problem? Or are you changing banks?

Adds a little 'class' to the kitchen. Easy to use, roomy, strong enough to hold large white plastic kitchen bags, open wide and close slowly. The only "minus” is the distance at which it must be from the edge of the wall / countertop so that the lid does not hit it when it falls. you open it In our case, it's 4 inches from the wall (I put some small clear round plastic bumpers on the edge of the post to act as a buffer). We bought this bin on May 8th and I thought it was fantastic at the time. While it did a good job of eliminating odors, the lid needs major improvement.
