We bought this bin on May 8th and I thought it was fantastic at the time. While it did a good job of eliminating odors, the lid needs major improvement. During the first month, the small metal rod on the back of the bin (which holds the lid in place) continued to loosen, causing the lid to sit oddly on the bin. This is a big problem for me because if I wanted a trash can without a lid, I wouldn't pay $89.99 for it. Not to mention that it's supposed to be a "contactless" trash can. I have to fix this little pole at least 3 times a week. Cherry on the cake when a piece of the lid broke off on the inside and now it hardly opens and closes by itself. I just feel like this bin should have lasted 6+ months considering we paid $96.29 (after tax) for it. It costs NO money.
