Scans printed photos at high resolution 600 DPI (selectable to 300 DPI). Ultra portable and battery powered with 4 AAA batteries (not included) allow you to take the P811 where you go.

Geneology Shop the best in scanners and supplies

My mother is a genealogist and needs to take pictures with her to share with new found relatives. We thought it would be great and it was pretty good. It's already had some issues that other people have mentioned regarding white lines etc when trying to clean them up and it's a little bit better. Just be aware that this is likely to happen.

What happened? in office electronics

I bought the smaller model 5 years ago and have had great success scanning my family photos. I needed one for large photos so I bought it. It was terrible. I have about 50% "success" with this scanner. No matter what I do, it doesn't get better. I started using the flatbed scanner because it's so much faster.

Koda P811 Photo Scanner

This is a great scanner for home and travel travel. It's also battery operated and travels well. It is lightweight and takes up little space. I'm a genealogist and if we have a family reunion it's great to bring family photos and have them scanned on site if those older family members don't want to part with the original photos! I did my homework before buying this and I'm glad I did because I love it!

I wanted this product to scan all my old photos and save them on my computer so I can make slideshows and movies later. This product is exactly what I was looking for. It easily scans images and documents up to 8x10 in size and stores them on a memory card. It's not fancy or complicated - just scan and save. Even my 80-year-old mother used it to scan numerous important documents. The product can be powered by battery or electricity, which makes it convenient to use. If you want to scan yourโ€ฆ

My project is compatible with scanners

I loved this device when I got it and have loved it for a long time. I checked other reviews before purchasing but was desperate for a second small scanner to use while watching TV in the evenings (my other scanner/fax/copier was in the other room). Bought to scan my mother's (86 year old) photo albums (18 in total) and load them into a digital photo frame for entertainment at the nursing home. After scanning more than 1200 photos, a white stripe started appearing on the photos. I have cleanedโ€ฆ
