It broke! for cutters

Maybe about 3/4 of a full turn after I touched the barrel this item broke! while she was in a vise. Just miraculously, patient and firm hands, I couldn't completely ruin my threads. I know it's hard to spend more money on something you can only use once, but please find something better before you end up with a saiga without easy muzzle device attachment options.

Pros
  • cutters
Cons
  • Very expensive

Don't buy this. in Threaded Die

I'm a machinist and I bought this Chinese made die for a one off order to save a few bucks. This die does not screw on properly and the customer service has been less than satisfactory. I bought a crystal from TMX for $3-4 more and it worked great. The problem with this matrix is that it doesn't work properly and on further searching the mechanics forums many others have encountered the same problem and ruined some projects. HSS is low quality and please take my advice seriously as you will…

Pros
  • Threaded Die
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

A very good death. in dies for round threads

I have been a machinist for over 25 years. This stamp is as good as most regular stamps I've used. I would recommend removing the detent and spring from the front sight. Since this die is used for threading gun barrels I would like to see only one side of the starter and the other side with a small starter could be used for threading closer to the front sight. But a crush washer helps fill in a small gap if it bothers you. Also, drilling the clam's beak a few thousand deeper will bring it…
