Silhouette America, Silhouette Mint Personalized Printer (White) Review

I want 5 stars so bad but first I had all kinds of blocked access from my Mint Studio to the store design after installation but my husband has it all fixed and i was ready to go but now my mint studio program gives me an error and closes the program on me. I don't know why, I've rebooted and updated and kept rebooting but nothing. Maybe tomorrow I'll start fresh with my new mint that I love.

I ordered the Mint a few days ago and it was delivered yesterday. It was very easy to set up and I have to say this machine is fantastic and I've enjoyed it! Love love love this little car! It's so much fun and easy to use. It arrived with 2 stamp blanks and 4 bottles of ink. The ink bottles are really small but you don't use a lot of ink to make a print so they last a long time. Installing the software was easy. Designing in the Mint software is very limited, so it's good to have Silhouette Studio (free in the basic version) as that's the software you use to design. OMG! Okay I got this for a bargain it should be a mistake but it's by far the coolest little car out there. The software takes a little getting used to, but this is my first Silhouette product, so I was unfamiliar with their platform. When the Mint was first announced I wasn't interested. From the photos Silhouette posted, it just didn't look like the car would run well. I saw his ad last night and realized he could do a better job than Silhouette showed. All stores have it for $129 but Revain has it for $75 which is amazing so I tried it and got one day delivery. I just made my first stamp and it turned out almost perfect! I had to use a font that didn't have scribbles because I'm sure it would have turned out better, but…

I got this for my birthday after a little chat about whether I want it or not. I've thought about trying another system that uses photosensitive resin pouches (which is also one of the ways private label is made), but they're even harder to find than Mint system refills and are only made by one company. (based in the UK). Mint is definitely capable of producing fairly high-resolution, detailed images. He won't make microscopic molds, but I was impressed with the quality of the first die I made.

UPDATE: After a long struggle with the software and the registration process, we were finally able to register my daughter in the store and start stamp printing. On the one hand, I would give four solid stars. The stamps are very neat and they come out much better than I expected. Kudos to the smart engineers who built and made this kit work. On the other hand, BOY brands are expensive. It seems that very few use cases could be viable for this product. It is a toy or at best a fun adult toy…
