Must have for A7c in DSLR lenses

I already have a Sigma 24mm Art lens. But I need something lighter and smaller to use mainly for video work. This lens did not disappoint me. Paired with Sony A7c! A wedding in heaven!

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Reliability

Excellent lens, I would like to be sharper.

I'm used to shooting with prime lenses and needed a wider lens for indoor shots at my weddings. I'm not terribly disappointed, but I think I was "hoping" that my pictures would be super sharp. I would and will recommend this lens but I'm sure I'll have to try 35mm now to see what's missing. I "hate" being that photographer who has to have 13 lenses. That's definitely NOT me. I just want Keylenses to support me. BUT I LOVE this lens (scale 1 to 10, strong 7.5) and look forward to continuing to…

So far, so good!: Lenses for SLR cameras

Despite its small/light weight, this lens has a solid construction and excellent manual controls (aperture ring, focus ring, etc.). The body feels solid and it's a fun and easy lens for everyday photography. Although designed for a full frame sensor, I'm using this lens on a Sony A6000 (APS-C) and it's been working great so far. The sharpness is good and the bokeh is nice and soft. Although I haven't shot much with it yet, I can see it becoming one of my go-to lenses when I just want to get out

  • So far satisfied

Great wide angle option for full frame Sony

I've never spent much time with a wide angle prime lens before so it took me a few shots to figure out how best to use this lens but once I did it I did found this quite helpful. It's 2.8 so it handles light well and I was happy with the colors too. Post processing was very easy and in some cases not required at all. The lens is light, compact and relatively cheap by Sony standards. This made my full-frame A9 feel a lot smaller than I'm used to. In short, this lens is a great addition to any…

Ideal lens for everyday use

I've been using the Sony FE 24mm F2.8 G lens for over 4 weeks now. It was almost always installed on my A7R3 except a few times when I needed a telephoto lens. It's a very familiar focal length and pairs well with Sony's full-frame mirrorless cameras. In terms of image quality, this lens has no weaknesses; very sharp outdoors. I can't give a professional opinion, but it's every bit as sharp as the G-Master 24-70mm but weighs less than 20%; How crazy! Another point I want to highlight is the…

Ultra light, ultra compact, ultra powerful

First thought of this lens - it's small! Especially for f/2.8. Not only is it small, but it's also very light, but that doesn't mean it's not durable, as I (accidentally, of course) banged it against a door and it fell about 4 feet and was still chugging. The pictures he takes are sharp. I did notice that he eventually found it difficult to focus in very low light, but that may have been an anomaly as I went out to take the same shot the next day and had no problems whatsoever. Probably user…

  • boring packaging

Incredible quality for camera and photography

I use the A7Rii and needed a small and light 24mm lens mainly for street photography (I'm not a professional so it's a hobby). I have a Sony 24-105 which is a great lens but gets very heavy when I'm carrying it around all day and hard to miss when I'm using it (I take a lot of photos in Europe, often on not-so-great ones places). My other main lens is the Sony 35mm 1.8, which I really like but wanted something a bit wider. I was about to shoot the much more expensive Sony 22mm 1.4 GM when this…
