Some people may argue that OE filters are better than aftermarket filters, but as a minor engine mechanic I can assure you that this filter is every bit as good as the OE filters. Stens is a good after sales company and they don't give you tours.

I have a 1988 JD Model 265 tractor with a Kawasaki engine. The filter I received did not screw into the male part of the motor. The threaded portion of the female filter was very close to the right size, but that's not enough!

This filter is NOT compatible with Kawasaki 49065-2078. The list of compatible filters listed on the Stens filter page that I received does not include the filter listed in the product description. It's about the same size otherwise, but doesn't bolt onto the oil filter canister.

Stens Oil Filter 120-634 Replaces this one, perfect for my Kawasaki FH 403 v 15hp. Club Cadet Riding Mower 1500 series, it took me a while to find this but Revain has it all. I bought this to replace the Kawasaki filter on my Ex-Mark lawnmower. Some reviews said the o-ring was the wrong size, but since it was half the price of a Kawasaki filter I figured it was worth the risk. After it arrived I removed the Kawasaki filter and compared. The Stens filter was identical to the Kawasaki filter. It works great and will be my main filter from now on. I love the Kawasaki engine on my lawnmower, but I find it ridiculous to pay twice as much for an oil filter and other parts

I received 3 filters: one came in a Sterns box with a Sterns label, the other two came without a filter box, the open end was wrapped in cheap plastic wrap to keep it clean. It's also shorter than Stens (or the Kawasaki it replaces). The only vague resemblance to Sten's or the one in the photo is that they're both black. Second, the star filter has more holes at the bottom than other included filters. I will contact the seller to see if there is a need. I'll let you know when I get a reply from
