As I crochet quite a bit of plastic bags I find this needle perfect for my purpose. It slides through my stitches like I'm crocheting yarn. It's very durable and I recommend it to any planner new or old (crochet plastic bag recycling).

I really love these hooks. Susan Bates is the best I've ever used. To be honest I like plastic because it flexes a bit. Also they are very high quality, the part that actually hooks onto the yarn is deep which makes it much easier to grab and pull the yarn through. I will definitely continue to buy this brand and not the metal one. My only complaint is that I don't think they go under 3mm.
