too sensitive. I live in a remote area with lots of trees. There was a relatively strong wind (25-30 mph) and this thing picked up a whiff of tree branches and an alarm went off about every 2-3 minutes. Finally got up around 3am and turned it off.

I bought several of these lights to keep coyotes from jumping over my patio fence. I'm new to coyotes, but he's caught me a few times! Enough noise and light. But still local enough that I don't think my neighbors will complain.

Tie this alarm to one of the deck posts to prevent deer from eating my hostas. That works great. The siren is loud enough to startle; I'm not sure if the red flashing light is effective. But I wanted it for solar function, alarm function and motion detection. We use the 12 hour night mode setting and it works great.

My application is in an empty building and the main purpose is to deter intruders. The only downside is that once activated, it works until you turn it off or the battery dies. This is a problem when the place is unattended. Personally, I'd prefer an automatic shutdown and reset a few minutes after it's turned on, like a car alarm.

Instructions should state mounting distances in feet not meters. The problem everyone has is that the design of the lens is such that the camera needs to be mounted 10 feet off the ground to properly activate the motion detection feature. When I first got it I couldn't get it to work either because it has a photocell that only works in the dark on setting three. I just installed it yesterday so we'll see how durable it is. Oh this is fantastic. I originally bought them after they were stolen from our garage. I placed them along the fence line that runs along our property.
