Clings to Carbon Fiber

Used to replace the heat reflective backing of the Moto-X carbon fiber heat shield. Ability to cut sections to fit curves. Bonded well (did a very light surface cleaning). So far I've driven for three days, no problems.

It was very easy to cut and attach.

Bought new plastic for my DRZ 400 and it had no heat shield material on the exhaust sidewall. It was very easy to cut to shape and attach to the inside of the plastic piece. Five stars!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Functionality

Reflects heat under my wooden cabinets.

Must be placed over a toaster that has been under or next to wooden cabinets. Before this heat shield, everything was very hot. Since I applied this under my closet, the heat doesn't get through - no. Does what he has to do and protects the family.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Easy to deal with exhaust and emissions

Used as a heat shield on the side of a Cherokee's oil pan where the preboilers and downpipe are REALLY close together. Very well cleaned and cut to size with scissors. It seems to stick very well and can mold it into the shape of a pan. Only time will tell if it stays in place when hitting mud and water, but so far I'm happy with the result.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Little things

Works to insulate my freezer.

I didn't buy it for the car but for the freezer. My fridge faucet was freezing cold and I saw that this product would help insulate the plumbing from the cold. After thawing the bait with this great product https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DJFFT62/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 the problem didn't come back. The self-adhesive backing is very convenient for use in the freezer. It's cheaper than buying a new refrigerator.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great for insulating heated 3D printers

This worked great for my application! It turned out to be a bit thinner than I expected, but I didn't mind too much. I applied it to the underside of the Creality CR-10 print bed. Fits perfectly, no cutting required. If someone else wants to do the same, be careful with the power cords on the print platform. Maybe even cover them with kapton tape before applying this. The aluminized finish can easily short out these kids if you're not careful. In any case, the glue is holding up well so far…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Vulgarity
