Provides great stability over rough or uneven terrain

I have found these to make my life so much more stable. I've recently started using a cane due to bad knees and finding that my stability was shocking. A regular tip on the cane was slippy and made me nervous over snow and ice. The cap is heavy but getting over rough or uneven terrain is simply easier. The cane doesn't skitter away and I find walking easier. My level of confidence has improved with my increased stability. Regarding the question about whether a cane with this tip can stand by…

Pros
  • Helps prevent damage to flooring or carpets in your home
Cons
  • It can only be used with certain brands of crutches

These are awesome! I got them to put on my crutches as a more convenient option than the metal flip-down ones for ice/snow. They've provided excellent traction on ice, snow, in the rain, on wet floors, and still work on things like carpet and hardwood without any fiddling with switching something around or damaging the surfaces. They fit snugly but without much difficulty to install (protip: start putting it on partway by hand, then push it the rest of the way down by putting pressure on the…

Pros
  • Increases the lifespan of your crutch by preventing excessive wear
Cons
  • It could be hard to remove the rubber tip without damaging the crutch

I decided to try these after not being able to .

I decided to try these after not being able to find the tips I currently use. These are very large and quite a bit heavier than my current tips, and they do not seem to grip as well when they are a steep angle. When you factor in that they cost twice as much, then the 3 stars might be a little high.

Pros
  • It is great when the area is wet, uneven and not flat but it is heavy.
Cons
  • These are great except for if you’re ordering for crutches, you have to order 2.

5 stars! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

5 stars plus!--I have read other comments about how the tip can be hard to put on the crutch. I contacted the company and the solution was quite simple--WD 40 on the crutch. It was amazing how much easier that made it to put on. I am recovering from a bone infection and am due to the second surgery next week.and will need as much safety as possible. The product is wider than a regular crutch tip, angles, and has better tread!Update: the crutch tip is great.but I have noticed a couple of things:

Pros
  • Ergonomic design for greater comfort during extended use
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with limited hand strength

I paid a little extra for one-day delivery because I wanted to replace the tip on my Exerstrider, just before a trip. I use it not as an exerciser but as a walking stick to assist my problems maintaining my balance due to a physical problem. It arrived very quickly as promised. Although it would not stay on my 1/2 inch diameter Exerstrider, I was able to add it to a 3/4 inch cane and take that instead. The Ergocap made a huge difference in helping me maintain my balance while traveling, partly…

Pros
  • Enhanced joint articulation for more natural movement
Cons
  • It's only available in one color

A superior product that makes a difference.

This is a wonderful product! It really made a difference in how much pain I felt when I walked. I also have more mobility and I don't twist my knee when I use it. I recommend this fully. The only issue is that it's for a cane with and an half inch in circumference. It did not fit my three-quarter inch wooden cane.

Pros
  • Provides much-needed support for people with limited mobility
Cons
  • It could make it harder to travel over padded or soft surfaces

Very Big Heavy Clunkly

SO HEAVY. I may be more crippled from just trying to use them. I bought them for winter time - snow, ice, etc. As it is now over 100 degrees here, I'll have to wait a bit for some snow. They do look sturdy as hell.if you can lift them off the ground! LOL

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact for effortless transport and storage
Cons
  • The added weight could be noticeable for those with lower body injuries

Pros

Accessory to Canes or Crutches

Great tips for my canes. Sturdier than any other tips I have bought in the past. Since I have osteoporosis and am high fracture risk I need stability and with these I get it.

Pros
  • Improves balance and coordination for better mobility
Cons
  • It could be difficult to replace the rubber tip by oneself

Great concept, but should be made out of aluminum

Too heavy. For a person that needs a cane, it seriously weighs down the end. I bought this for my Dad- he used it and took it off for that reason. Great concept, but should be made out of aluminum, not lead.

Pros
  • Medical Supplies & Equipment
Cons
  • The design doesn't allow for easy replacements on the go

This review is NOT about the actual product, BUT . . .

I DON'T KNOW HOW I should rate this review - ONE STAR or FIVE - because I haven't even used this item yet. HOWEVER, let me say up front - I have NO DOUBT that it's great, and does exactly what it is advertised to do . . . make walking with crutcheS safer.I have been using the underarm type of crutcheS (for balance) since 1982, so there's not a lot that anyone can tell me about crutcheS and their use, that I don't know. I learned the hard way that crutcheS can be your best friend, when they are…

Pros
  • Compatible with multiple terrains including pavement, grass, and gravel
Cons
  • The textured design may not be appropriate for certain floor types, such as carpets

Deceptive practice - my new review

I dislike that they show two on two crutches and no where in the order does it say only one. Pretty much all crutches are two. My husband lost his leg to cancer at 16, he is 64. I looked to see if I needed to order 2.it said that it was only 1.I looked to see everywhere. So they were deceptive.and pretty expensive for one. Very deceptive and I will never do business w/ them after today. I ordered another one from them today.because I need the exact same one to match. But I have a list in my pc,

Pros
  • Easy to install without the need for special tools
Cons
  • The extra length of the Ergocap® may make it harder to store or travel with
