Description of VILTROX 23mm f/1.4 X-Mount Lens - High-Aperture APS-C Auto-Focus Lens for Fujifilm X-Mount Cameras (X-T3, X-H1, X20, T30, X-T20, X-T100, X-Pro2)

Product Overview

The VILTROX 23mm f/1.4 X-Mount Lens is a high-quality prime wide-angle lens designed specifically for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras. It provides a 35mm equivalent focal length, making it ideal for capturing stunning landscapes, architectural details, and environmental portraits. With its large f/1.4 maximum aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions and offers excellent control over depth of field, allowing you to create beautifully blurred backgrounds and emphasize your subjects with precision.

Exceptional Autofocus Performance

The lens features an advanced Auto Focus system powered by an STM stepping motor. This technology enables quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance, ensuring that you never miss a moment. The lens also offers full-time manual focus override, giving you the flexibility to fine-tune your focus manually whenever needed. Additionally, the internal focusing design of the lens maintains its overall length during use, enhancing handling and providing quicker response times.

Uncompromising Optical Quality

Equipped with HD Nano coating and two extra-low dispersion elements, this lens delivers outstanding image quality. The HD Nano coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting, allowing for clear and vibrant images even in challenging lighting conditions. The extra-low dispersion elements effectively reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations, resulting in sharpness, clarity, and accurate color reproduction throughout your photographs.

Versatile Compatibility

The VILTROX 23mm f/1.4 X-Mount Lens is compatible with a range of Fujifilm X-mount cameras, including popular models such as the X-T3, X-H1, X-T30, X-T20, X-T100, and X-Pro2. [for Fujifilm X-mount]Prime wide-angle lens is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 35mm equivalent focal length. Due to its physical design, this lens is not suitable for use on the FUJIFILM X-Pro3 camera and may scratch the camera body if attached. [Auto Focus]STM stepping motor enables quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. Additionally, an internal focusing design maintains the overall lens length during use for improved handling and quicker response. [Large Aperture]Bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field. [HD Nano]Two extra-low dispersion elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve a high degree of clarity and color accuracy. Two high refractive index elements help to control spherical aberrations and reduce distortion in order to realize high sharpness and accurate rendering. [Compact and durable] Integrated manual aperture ring for tactile exposure control; this ring also features an 'A' position for automated, camera-based aperture selection. Integrated micro-USB port can be used to update the lens's firmware.

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

A good lens for an amateur. A professional is unlikely to come to a client with a Chinese lens to shoot. There are a lot of reviews on the lens with a good rating. I was guided by them and did not fail. I have firmware 1.1. yes, it is noticeably corrected in the editor even without loading the lens profile. There is a profile for Lightroom on the home site. Fuji is Fuji, but I don’t want to overpay or buy XC. The first photo is f 1.4. the second is f 2.0 XA was not corrected.

Pros
  • Build quality, sharpness, colors, a lot of software firmware, there is a profile for Lightroom, price.
Cons
  • I do not observe this.

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Made soundly, with high quality, and you can’t say that this is a Chinese assembly. Everything is very good. Just like they did in Japan. I did not notice geometric distortions. Although, on the same Fujinon they are quite obvious. When you shoot a video on Fujinon, the person's face looks wider than it really is. Wiltrox doesn't. Video shoots "as is", without stretching. I am very pleased that I changed Fujinon to this lens.

Pros
  • 1. Sharp 2. Cheaper than 23/1.4 from Fujinon 3. Autofocus is faster than Fujinon
Cons
  • So far, the only drawback is exactly the same as that of Fujinon 23 / 1,4 - if you photograph architecture or nature on autofocus, then the machine often misses the focus. Indeed, very often. In the example: a photo with a corner of the house, the focus is normal. The photo with the window is a miss. This is one place, one conditions, one house. The difference is a couple of clicks on the trigger.

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

I've been looking at a lot of reviews for a long time. Before buying Viltrox 23mm, for 3 years I used only native fuji optics. After weighing all the pros and cons, I decided to take a chance and try . and I did not lose! - Constructive. If you do not take into account a modest Chinese box, then when you pick it up you understand - yes, it's just Carl Zeiss! A solid metal body without plastic, even a metal hood! - Autofocus is silent. From the word absolutely! Accurate always, while out of…

Pros
  • Aperture, constructive, autofocus, sharpness, equipment, price
Cons
  • the aperture ring is easy to accidentally shift, but this is nitpicking

Broken lens Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I've had this lens for less than a year. I ran into problems so I emailed viltrox customer service. They tell me I have to go through the seller who is viltrox! Raven can't help either. Exchanging emails for a month with customer service and on the day of the warranty expiration I get a response that my warranty has expired. Terrible service buyer, beware

Watch out for Fuji! fits camera lenses

This lens performs BETTER than my expensive native Fuji lenses. Amazing f/1.4 aperture for cinematic bokeh, great autofocus, and under $400! Viltrox please make us a 16mm 1.4 for X-mount and I will be ready! Viltrox launches AFFORDABLE lenses with breakthrough apertures. The ONLY thing I HATE about my Fuji XT30 is the lack of AVAILABLE lenses. Fuji wants to have an arm and a leg for its F1.8 lenses. I don't even think they offer F1.4 in anything. My $1,000 56mm Fuji lens hunts and breathes a…

To be honest it could be better than the Fuji 23mm f1.4. Serious.

Look, I can't afford the XF23mm 1.4. I just can not. And the XF23mm f2 is quite soft in my opinion and has disappointed me many times. So when I heard that Viltrox was getting great reviews, I took it for myself. For my shooting style, it's fantastic on so many levels. Does it have problems with CA and vignetting? Yes. Is it easy to fix? Yes. Do you even have to fix them? No, vignetting is actually pretty typical for me. This lens has character. As many say, the XF35mm f1.4 has "character” and…

A good budget lens, sharp for a solution.

This is the first prime lens I've ever bought and it's surprisingly good for photography. I don't know how it personally compares to the Fuji counterpart, but all the reviews I've seen say it's as good or better than it. For videos, leaving the camera on auto-iris is a bit annoying. or shutter speed because it's pretty noisy when switching. I also don't recommend this lens for video as you can see it ebb and flow as you transition from bright scenes to dark scenes and it doesn't feel like a…

Exceeded my expectations.

I was about to push the purchase of the Fuji 23 F2 when I noticed the Viltrox 23 F1.4. After doing my due diligence and reading the various reviews I thought why not? If it didn't live up to the hype, I could always return it. Well, in short, I hold! It is razor sharp with excellent color reproduction. Sure, there's a bit of chromatic aberration and vignetting wide open, but I've had other much more expensive lenses that had the same minor issues. The bokeh isn't bad either. In fact, I bought…

This was my face when I saw pictures taken with this lens.

. It's not just the all-metal construction and metal lens hood. totally impressed me; Not only did this lens capture something on my cat's eyeball from a seemingly improbable distance; He does it in 4k video. Absolute 5 stars. I would buy this for people who have Fuji and have only sworn by Fuji glass so far. Incredible video in low light. 0 Cons So far I've shot about 10 hours of video and probably about 500 shots since I bought this lens about 2 weeks ago. I kept the box to store my original…

Reliable, versatile, clear, fast with low distortion

I shoot most of my photos with either 23mm or 35mm equivalents - formerly the Sony a7iii and now the Fujifilm XT3. I switched to the Fuji world because I didn't particularly like the 35mm options that the Sonny world offered me. So I started with the Fujinon 23mm/f2 (equivalent to 35mm). It wasn't as sharp as 16mm/f2, especially at close range. At long range, he also showed a non-standard performance, in my opinion. I have never bought a Fujinon 23mm/f1.4 as the reviews showed only a slight…

I think I'm selling my Fuji 23mm now. Well done Wiltrox!

Wow, I'm glad I bought this lens. I read and looked at other people's reviews and took a chance. It's a well-built, sharp lens with excellent autofocus. Works great for photos and videos. Selling my Fuji 23mm lens. My experience is that I have been shooting in a photo company for 17 years with Nikon full frame cameras and lenses. When traveling and in everyday life I would prefer to shoot with a mirrorless system from Fuji. They're fun, easy, and I love how the film looks straight out of the…
