Inaccurate. The humidity sensor is wrong. When my smoke generator wasn't working and the sensor read 10% humidity. I ran my smoke machine again and it was still reading 10% when my snake was fully in the hot box. Thrown away. I'd look around or buy one without the cords, at least because they were a nuisance too. I believe such cables are similar to headphone cables when it comes to quality and durability and also what could be the reason for this sensor's failure.

Good until it fails in less than 2 months.

Warranty update: I contacted the seller and asked for a replacement under the Zoo Med warranty but they never responded. I emailed Zoo Med with a screenshot of my order and a photo of the device and the next day they replied that they would send me a replacement. I ordered on March 20th and it failed on May 16th. Battery removed and replaced, no change. See pic. Seller has been contacted regarding a Zoo Med warranty exchange and will be updated accordingly.

At first he was accurate. Unreliable :(

This product WAS accurate for several days. We have attempted to use it for our poison frog varieties that require close and accurate monitoring of temperature and humidity. So we've dealt with several other gauges which we have already compared to make sure it reads efficiently will definitely not be buying again! Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who owns terrariums/vivariums who need to carefully monitor temperature and humidity for the health and safety of their pets Simply unreliable!

You really get what you pay for

This is a very affordable temperature/humidity sensor that claims to be not without its flaws. One of the suction cups doesn't stick at all, the others hold perfectly. The temperature reading is pretty accurate (I tested it with my IR hair dryer) but the humidity reading shows 89-99% when I see the terrarium is dry. I haven't had much luck with any moisture meter compared to the ones I've tested and I hope none of them come anywhere near as good. The price makes it affordable, but the readings…

Perfect for a month *review updated

This worked great for measuring my bonsai tank for a month. However, the temperature gauge is stuck at 58f and nothing seems to be able to fix this. Only inside my house is the temp over 70F and outside 80-90F and my terrarium is right in front of a sunny window so I can't see anything. to understand why. Also, one of the suction cups I received was so wrinkled/twisted that it didn't even stick to the glass. I wish it also had a backlight to read the temperature at night. **Review updated…

Best in Thermometers

The advantage of this small thermometer is that it has two separate sensors for temperature and humidity measurements, which are shown in large numbers on the screen. The screen is unreadable in the dark, which is a shame! I use this to keep track of the humidity and temperature in my fish tank day and night and having my phone light on to see what the thermometer screen is reading is a major draw back for me. I thought the screen was fluorescent or something. Otherwise I think it's a decent…

Our temperatures are good! Finally!

Our temperatures are right! Finally! We originally had a thermometer for our Beardies tank but our dragon stopped eating and we couldn't figure out why. According to the thermometer, our temperature was in the right range. We chose this thermometer with a humidity sensor and immediately realized that the humidity was too high and the temperature too low. We drained the excess water from the tank, bought a more powerful heat lamp, and our lizard was sucking up super worms in no time. The sensor…
