CryptantCrab, transforming blockchain games with a robust economy

CryptantCrab is the project of award-winning development studio iCandy Interactive, which is already responsible for several popular game titles, such as Crab War and Alien Path. With CryptantCrab, players can manage, fight, and trade digital crabs on the Ethereum blockchain.

At the surface level, the game is simple: players collect CryptantCrabs and send them into fights. However, what distinguishes this game from existing blockchain games It is the level of autonomy and personalization that the player maintains. Each crab is highly specialized and unique, with different body parts and elements that affect his skill in battle. Furthermore, the attached fossils further alter the combat prowess of each crab.

Crab management goes far beyond buying and selling. CryptantCrab offers two unique mechanisms - Mutation and Xenograft - for players to customize their versatile fighter. Mutations represent a risk / reward system in which players can choose to mutate different parts of the crab. This will have a different effect on the statistics each time have each mutation modify the crab's stats / appearance. These alterations will be synergized in various ways with the abilities of the crab as a whole.

The Xenograft system allows players to add and remove parts on different crabs. For example, a player could take a claw and a paw from each of their crab collections and graft it onto your award winning fighter. Crabs with grafted parts don't just go away. They become Fossls, a new shape that can be equipped with other crabs to affect Even more his statistics.

Pros
  • Mutation and xenograft systems allow value on several levels. Rather than having only the best crabs to attract buyers' attention, all crabs encourage some intrinsic value. Even common crabs can be seen as mutation games, where a series of lucky mutations could turn them into something special. Also, otherwise unattractive crabs that carry one or two excellent components will entice buyers to have their products grafted onto other crabs.
Cons
  • None to delimit yet
