Perfect for camping

They are perfect for camping. We have a very lovable labrador and an escaped Pomeranian so we have two and they are perfect for when we go camping.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Doubtful

Keep an eye out for tutorials

I bought one of these last spring. Since then the price has doubled and after just a year the vinyl is cracking and has sharp ends and exposed wires are wearing out. At this price I think I'll try to find a better quality tie.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Having trouble

they will break. on inserts and posts

We are there. Our second oe from them. They don't last forever, but for the price, they're worth it. I wouldn't necessarily put the dog you're worried about stalking anything in one of them, it could end up really bad. But just keeping one docile dog in your yard is enough for about 18 months.

Pros
  • a practical matter
Cons
  • no productivity

It's good if you change it once a year

Excellent but you have to change it annually. This is for Ohio winters, at least by sophomore year/season the coating is damaged by the weather causing the cord to rot and the latches to rust making it difficult to turn on and off. However, you are fine if you can accept that. You could probably get 2 years off this but I would rather replace my dog than lose it and get hurt or worse.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Pay attention to silver paint!

When the cable tie arrived, the red cable was covered with silver paint, showing that both ends of the cable tie had been mended. I suspect it was either used/returned or was rusty. However, like most of us, I didn't want to bother with the return and I needed it very soon. This lasted exactly a week past the return window and broke down. Our dog roamed the city streets for several hours before being kept for us by a very friendly neighbor. She had a 15 foot tie on her at all times except forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durability Test Results
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Broken spring best in Dogs

We bought this for our small/medium sized dog. I figured the spring would help relieve the pressure as it runs at full speed and nears the end of its line. But the spring mechanism is stuck in its case (looks like they put the spring in and then painted it). We used it anyway as it couldn't have been worse than what she already got with the chain. A day later, she tore the spring from the sides, but now the spring is stuck in the folded position. The spring is too big for the case it's in, soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Ideal for small to medium sized dogs

This tie is a bit thin for a large dog. I have a 60 pound dog and he tore him after about two months of "outdoor play". He's not chained to it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week just to play with. And it wore out pretty quickly compared to other large dog ties. On the other hand, this would be a great tie for medium to small dogs. He could successfully hold a quiet big dog, but for my big puppies that wasn't quite the quality I needed. They are very playful and when outside they are always runningโ€ฆ
