I gave my daughter her first apartment. She creates a Moroccan theme with floor cushions and a low table. It has a vinyl wooden floor. We put this rug on a pillow, it is not a thick rug. The colors are bright, pink is very pink but it goes well with orange and other carpet colors. It's a fun rug and very "beautiful" and she likes it a lot. I wouldn't put it in a high traffic area as I'm not sure how well it will hold up to heavy use and dirt.

If you approach this purchase knowing what you are buying and still make the final decision you will be happy. This rug is VERY THIN. This is not a thick and soft $200-300 rug. You can solve this problem with a rug or if you decide to put this rug on top of another rug. The close-ups they provide exaggerate the product you get. The price of the carpet has increased significantly from 8x10 to 9x12. It shouldn't be nearly twice as expensive. I was in love with the vibrant shades of purple and turquoise featured on this rug on various websites online. However, the carpet is a bit duller, the turquoise and celadon more like a deep royal/navy blue and the celadon more like a light blue. Orange is completely superior to purple.
