Review on 🖥️ Dell S2417DG Monitor: Enhanced 24 Inch Display with 60Hz Response Rate by Jose Henry

First time I've bought a gaming monitor in 8-10 years. 4 instead of 5 - the result of ignorance on my part, combined with some technical problems. I'm running a 1070, i7, 16GB RAM gaming laptop through a monitor and mini display port and this has drastically changed my gaming experience for the better. Games like Pubg, Fortnite, Rocket League, Siege and more are vastly improved when compared to playing on a 60Hz laptop monitor. I also use my PS4 base with HDMI port and am shocked how much better it looks. I played God of War on a 60" Vizio and switched to my monitor and compared to Vizio's performance it looks like I bought the PC version of the game. As I mentioned, there are probably some technical issues that more knowledgeable monitor and PC gamers can explain, but this is my first time enjoying a serious gsync monitor. There are no dead pixels, the colors are clear in my opinion. In terms of performance, this thing is great. Here are my amateur but serious notes on PC gaming through the monitor. Pros: - One of the cheapest/most amazing high-end gsync gaming monitors I've found. The transition from 30/60Hz monitors to 144Hz is no joke. Also great for console games. No dead pixels, very sharp colors and easy to set up. About 15-20 minutes from opening the box to playing. - Not a pro, but make sure gsync is enabled in NVIDIA settings and monitor refresh rate is set to 144Hz. Cons: - Terrible port layout. Small problem until you have to replace the cable. - The monitor has no external sound, and the internal sound when I plugged in the headphones was shockingly quiet. - I've seen some reviews where people have had dead pixels and/or washed out colors. For people having trouble with color calibration, there are easy guides on Reddit and Amazon. The transition of the monitor from 30/60 Hz to 144 Hz is quite real. Of course all the excitement wears off over time but I've had mine for 2 weeks now and it's really reinvigorated my joy of playing.
