Installed in car to clear USB connection for Android Auto. That works great! I measured the bushing and made a small cardboard template for my hole size. I scratched the template with an Xacto knife to mark the hole. I then used a 5/16 bit, dremel and file to open the hole. I stayed away from my lines with power tools and hand filed the final bit until the jack went into the dash. Looks great! Works perfectly!

I knew what I was getting into when I bought this - it was too small for the existing hole in my 2015 dash. prius So I removed the plate and turned to my handy X-acto knife set (seriously) to cut the hole to size. I'm happy with the result. I wanted to add a nice USB port so I can use Android Auto with my new Sony head unit. Works great with a phone placed in a small area under the switch with a 1ft cord.

No instructions but excellent quality. The hole you need to cut is 23cm x 12cm. First trace and cut out a piece of cardboard, then glue the back of the cardboard and circle the area to be cut out with cardboard. Take your dremel, trim the top and bottom with a round nozzle, then use a drill to trim the sides and smooth everything out. Be careful as the margin of error is small, then check the fit. Depending on the thickness of the plastic, you may need to trim the retaining pins slightly.

I have previously used a different brand USB extender connector which fits perfectly in the empty switch panel on my Toyota 4Runner. However, the USB connection was never solid and resulted in Android Auto and Car Play being disabled, not to mention it was obvious that the screen resolution was compromised.
