Must have DIY clutch tool!

This tool is essential to removing the flywheel from the 540i 6 speed manual transmission, works perfectly and is made of steel.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Low repairability

well made tool.

Great tool for the price, well made and finished. Now if only Ford rear hubs were engineered the same way as the tooling to work with them.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Perfect tool at a great price

I used this tool on a 2010 Ford Edge for rear hub bearings and it worked great. I recommend it to anyone who does a lot of Ford work.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works great for power tools

Used to remove the flywheel from my E39 540i. Worked perfectly, no problems. A much cheaper alternative to the original BMW, around half the price.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Upgrades

Worked great! Damn the engineer who asked for that!

This is exactly the tool you need to disassemble a factory flywheel that some engineer laughingly tinkered around at the table. However, the tool was perfect, apparently of high quality and can certainly be used again and again. However, don't plan on doing this job again!

  • price
Cons
  • weak

Well made tool in the Flywheel Tools section

This is one of those tools that you spend a lot of money on and most likely will never use again. But I like the build quality of the tool and it did a great job removing and tightening the flywheel bolts. If you want to work, you have to have the tools. But I always hate it when I have to buy special tools like this. I mean why couldn't they just use a regular head or have one so you can pull the bolt out with a shorter torque head and an extension? It would be nice. I gave it 5 stars because…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • So far so good

The tool withstands high torques without failure

This tool is required to access the 4 Torx screws of the rear wheel bearing. The length of the instrument, combined with a thin shaft that's thin enough to clear an ABS tone ring, does just that. To provide additional clearance for handling the tool, I removed the crimping head. The part of the tool shank exposed by removing the bushing has a hexagonal shape and is suitable for conventional mechanical tools. If the repair is being performed on a vehicle, in this case a 2009 Ford Edge, that has…

  • Trial period for one year
