Best Camera and Prices

This camera worked great in my wife's 2011 Ford Edge, didn't need to be reprogrammed and the price is amazing. The dealer was asking $340 for the camera alone and I didn't even ask for a job so I decided to give it a try because the reviews were good and boy is it a great camera. Don't hesitate, it's a must

Perfect replacement for the 2011 Ford Edge

This worked great as a replacement for my 2011 Ford Edge. Backup lines and everything is displayed, and unsurprisingly the image is much sharper than an existing decade-old camera. If it had been installed by Best Buy and the technology was very questionable, it would have worked and I signed a waiver. It worked right away and was great.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best price I have found for a backup camera for my 2013 Ford Edge

Ford Design is replacing a PITA backup camera but the new camera works great and I am very happy with it. I've read that cameras sometimes stop working if water gets into the cable ports under the plastic cover on the back of the Edge, but my ports looked completely dry so I'm assuming the camera will last a while. Good product.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Communicate with seller

Certainly not perfect for the 2011 MKX but works fine no matter what

Despite the description, this camera didn't fit my 2011 MKX very well. The form factor is wrong - this camera has a right angle connector while the Lincoln OEM has a straight one. I removed a piece of the plastic pressure mount to make it fit and used some silicone as the gasket is quite a loose fit. But the camera itself works very well, the lines are displayed correctly.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Other Other

Great replacement BUT.

Everything worked fine. The installation featured a little bear cub, but that was not on the product's camera. only FORD. The only issue I have is that the camera now sits a little lower and looks down than the original. It is installed in the same position as the original and I cannot adjust it. This is unfortunate as it works, just not the wide view it uses. I'm not sure if it's the lens position itself or the orientation of the mount, there's no way to fix it. I will learn more about it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons

Saved me over $800 and works better than ever.

Our camera either didn't work at all or went upside down. In rare cases it might go right. We took the car to the dealer and they charged over $800 to fix it. I went to YouTube and watched a video on how to change the camera. It only required one step with the plastic inserts which was a bit tricky, the rest is very easy. It took me 30 to 45 minutes to swap out the camera. The rear car drove great, the camera works better than ever.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Poor quality on Car Safety & Security

The first camera I received didn't work at all but the return had to be sent to China, waste of time. The second was an inverted image. Returned. This is the third one and it works fine. PRO- You can see what's around when reversing.- You can see how close you are when parking. CON- The camera doesn't fit perfectly. (-1 star) - The guides are misaligned, requiring you to aim left to correct the misalignment. (-1 star) - Stick directional white lines, they shouldn't even be there, it's quite…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

It works as well or even better than OEM at a much lower cost.

Post-installation overview: Installed on a 2013 Ford Edge SEL. The camera works and is slightly brighter than the original. I have gridlines and backup alert tones that work. The original camera works intermittently and I get the message "Camera unavailable, please contact your dealer". I updated sync to the latest version and it didn't work. I used a YouTube video from Leo's Variety Channel that walks you through the installation process. Hope the camera lasts as long as the original.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • The list will be long.

True, no reprogramming required

Before installation I had the following issues with my 2011 Ford Edge: - Intermittent connection - "Contact Dealer". Message - Top View The dealer charged me $700 for the repair. I installed this camera and it works as advertised. I have my principles; reprogramming is not required. I'd say picture quality is the same as a 10 year old OEM, which makes sense given that no one is changing displays or updating software to allow for higher resolution. Search YouTube for installation instructions…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Almost OK
