Product of an old shelf. Fire code

Attention buyers. I bought two of these in February 2018. The alerts I received are from 2014. The battery that came with it expired in 2017. Needless to say I sent them back.

  • Confident
Cons

Old and worn detector

Be careful with these detectors. I knew it was going to end badly when I saw the package it came in; yellowed with age, looks late 90's/early 2000's. These detectors have a limited lifespan, even if left unopened on the shelf. My guess was confirmed when the detector started chirping shortly after switching it on. I suspect they are "new old stock" being discarded after years of storage. Get a new detector even if you have to pay more.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Works great! - Security

This Device Works! It is so noisy that you will have time to move out of the area where carbon monoxide is present. The husband drove the truck with the muffler into the garage, left it on for a while, then exited and closed the garage. I was lying in bed on the other side of the house (1700 sqm) and heard a loud beep. When I finally figured out where the loud noise was coming from and opened the garage, I found that the device did its job perfectly. Very grateful. I have one in the garage, one
