Excellent brand of DVD player.

I love the Philips brand. This is a durable DVD player that will stand up to my active little autistic boy. He loves it and takes it everywhere with him. A definite plus is that when you turn the DVD player off and on again, it picks up where you left off. High quality and durable!

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • little things

Inexpensive well fits portable DVD players

Bought 3 of these for my 10 year old for Christmas. They love them but the packaging made me think they weren't brand new and had been used before. The boxes were slightly crumpled, one was obviously open and sealed with tape, there were fingerprints on the display and case. Wasn't very impressed.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Sad device

Not worth $10. 00 not to mention the price.

Not worth $10 let alone the price. Loud noise when spinning the disc, which can also be heard when listening with headphones. Playback stops and starts as the device tries to keep up with the movie. Philips Electronics should be ashamed to release such a useless portable DVD player. Your brand made a loud dive for me

Pros
  • The color LCD brings pictures to life and shows your precious photos, favorite movies and music in the same "real life".
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I love it. Until something heavy fell out of me.

I liked it. Until something heavy fell on him from a closet and he no longer recognizes the floppy disks. Otherwise it was great. It started from where I was after stopping or pausing or even turning. The buttons were clearly visible and clearly labeled. There was a menu button to skip all those stupid previews. I wish someone would make things like this a little more solid. Sigh.

Pros
  • The Philips portable DVD player is compatible with most DVDs and CDs on the market.
Cons
  • old

Nice portable DVD video player

I bought this after borrowing my sister's portable DVD player and found that I really liked it because of its comfort. I can sit on my bed and watch movies. Currently my regular DVD player connected to my TV is not working. So if I didn't have one, I'd be out of luck! The screen is smaller than my sister's, but I could get a bigger screen if I wanted to spend more money, so it's not the player's fault. I wish the audio was a little louder; Some movies/TV shows aren't very loud and you have toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • remembers where you left off watching a DVD and picks up right where you left off
Cons
  • Very expensive
