I have three pets. small dog and two cats. and a two year old. Between toddlers fooling around, cats squeaking and dogs coughing, I keep this thing BUSY. I've only had my SpotBot for 2 months to 2 years and these are my observations. If the machine is stored with the solution tank attached, it will leak. I've used this thing on and off since I bought it in January 2016. Maybe 10-20 times. The set and forget feature is handy for small stains and works well. However, a design flaw makes using a hose nozzle frustrating and nearly impossible. The hose function worked properly ONCE. Since then, attempts to use the hose attachment have resulted in the hose not working and soapy water leaking from the bottom of the unit, soaking the floor and creating a puddle. Basically just another mess to clean up.

I had 2 dogs (Doushound and Australian Shepherd). Considering the mess they make and the mess my 1 year old makes this vacuum was great.
