DANGEROUS! suitable for boating

Pushes my 38 pound 3 year old face down in the water. She can swim but we needed a jacket for our boat. Even if she tries to swim without moving, she turns around and puts her face in the water! Glad I took them to the pool to test before my boat trip! It would kill her if she fell out of the boat!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not fancy

Great for boating! fits life jackets and vests

Pool tested. Quickly turn her onto her back. My son hated it and fought it so he returned to his stomach for a second but it kept flipping him onto his back. Aside from flipping it, my son didn't mind wearing it and seemed comfortable. We will definitely be using it for boating this summer, but not for swimming or playing in the water.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgrades

Perfect (Type II/III) dual purpose vest.

My daughter loves pink and is comfortable in the water and on land. I wanted a life jacket, not floats, to teach her how to swim. Stallquist is Type II in Canada and keeps his head above water. He turns her face up when she's not moving. So I believe it's safe for coastal sailing. Deduct ยฝ star for discoloration, small purple stains on pink after handwashing with Tide.

  • Ideal for a small home

Nervous grandma is the best when it comes to safety and buoyancy aids

I'm grandma and my two little grandsons spent the weekend with us. One swims and the other doesn't. The non-swimmer just turned two years old. That's why I bought this life jacket. It fits her small body perfectly. We were convinced that she could swim because there was no fear and she was really kicking her little legs and laughing. I was so nervous that she jumped in the pool. This little life jacket has given us all an increased sense of security for our precious two year old.

CAUTION incorrect product description

CAUTION I ordered a PDFllll based on the product description which says the headrest has an extra foam strip for extra security; The design helps baby swim face up naturally! When I received the product he stated emphatically in his newsletter that he did not roll the baby face up, that it was more of a face down prop and the baby should have had his head back and swimming skills. The child is only 3 years old and just starting to learn to swim so I would prefer something safer. Based on thatโ€ฆ

Best Life Jacket

back near the water. This jacket has a very thin back, so wearing it is not so tiring. Our son is very active and it doesn't bother him. And I love that it doesn't have an annoying character, so it's easy to pass it on to a little sister :) Great purchase! We've had it for a few years now (it was a replacement purchase because we let it dry on the car roof and then drove it on the freeway, oops) and still love it.

Pros
  • BUCKLES - A front quick release buckle provides extra security and even has an adjustable crotch strap for any size. You'll know the durability of this children's lifejacket by the buckle that attaches to the box so you can use it for years
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Constantly wrong with the model.

Ordered twice. I had another model with no neck lining and no open back. Absolutely different. The design shown is probably the best design on the market. The open back plus extra buoyancy around the head prevents baby from rolling onto his face. The bib is in the front so the baby swims face up. The floating double neck keeps the head up and above the water. The lack of buoyancy on the back prevents the baby from rolling over. But I always got a different design. It was not a neck but aโ€ฆ

A child with a sensory processing disorder wore this jacket with no problem.

I like that this jacket can hold the weight for two and a half years, which is a big kid. I love that it has a floating head to keep the face up. Very easy to put on, the zip is very useful and the chest straps took a while to get tight enough when I first put them on, but afterwards as long as you have the strength in your hands and arms you can leave them adjusted on in the right place and simply open and close the jacket and it's ready for the next use. The fit was snug enough that I wasโ€ฆ
