This chalk drawing tool worked well for about 10 clicks. It was getting difficult to wrap it back into the tool but it still worked and then I went to snap the cord and the cord broke. After about 10 shots. I'm a DIY enthusiast so my earnings don't depend on this tool, but I'm not at all pleased that this happened as part of a project.

roofer with 18 years experience and I use a chalk line every day. Own every crate named "Brand". And broke every one of them. This one can break, but it's way better than all the others. I refilled it the same day I bought the first one and it was MONTHS before it needed refilling. Don't lose stacks of chalk when pulling the string. Now I have 2. Now the strength test. Took longer than most.

I have the previous Tajima Chalkline model and am very disappointed! This thing makes the biggest mess I've ever seen! I use Tajima red chalk for tiling, so you can imagine how confused I am. I'd be better off with a Custom Harbor Frieght tailgate. I feel like I got it out the back door after paying for this useless junk. Lesson learned: You don't make them like you used to.

Haven't used it yet but seems solid and well made. I'm only giving it 3 stars because it's empty - no chalk and it doesn't even have a 'starter bottle'. I understand everyone had a favorite color but at least they could give you the default red or blue. In addition, they recommend using their own brand of chalk, which is around 3-4 times more expensive than other brands and not available locally. So I had to place a second Chalk order before I could fill it out.

A bit big. Bigger than the traditional chalk line I'm used to but much better performance. It fits snugly in my tool bag, but that's good. I've been using Tajima chalk boxes for a long time. I've tried Stanley, Milwaukee, and DeWalt, but they lacked the features I'm used to from the Tajima. HOW: foldable handle that never interferes with line casting, LOCK function is the best, I actually prefer the rubber grip and see-through body of this model over more expensive metal bodies, hook compartment on the filler cap. DON'T LIKE: Hook - The notch for attaching the hook to the box makes it difficult to remove the leash from some screws

I've wanted to try the Tajima leader for a long time, but not so much that I want to pull the trigger on a $30 leader when I have Irwin, which does a great job, which leaves a nice straight line and has 4 or 5 spares sitting idle.
