🚧 Farmhouse Collection - Expandable Walk-Thru Room Divider Baby Gate Review

This sliding/compression gate is perfect for our patio. We have some pretty steep steps and with young grandkids and a puppy we needed a way to keep the deck secure. Installation was very easy and the dark wood tone blends in well with the rest of our wood. Easy to put on for an adult but not so easy for a toddler - which is perfect. Fair price and fast delivery.

I ordered two at once. One was delivered on time from one warehouse, the other from another warehouse and 2 days later. The first one I received had the top rail broken and frayed. The second was great! Replaced the first one with Revain CS and got the replacement yesterday. Today I wanted to install them and the replacement gate was broken (one of the slats). I hope the third one I get won't be broken. We will see. Otherwise I like her looks. Hope they hold up over time.

I think most of you understand this but don't use it for the top part of the stairs. It's not powerful enough for this application. I probably wouldn't use it for large dogs that don't want to be held either. It's more of a deterrent than anything else. I use it for the base of the stairs and span it diagonally across the hallway to block the base of the other staircase. I paid extra to get it in this nicer color. Love this gate SO MUCH! I'm also glad I paid the extra $10 to get it in the Dark Spotted Farmhouse option. This looks so much better than the lightweight version which looks like a 1950's gate! Definitely back to the gate. I gave them 4 stars for the durability factor as it is at this stage. I'm just not sure how well it will hold up because it seems a bit flimsy which may just be due to the design of the scissors, not that it will break soon but that it might not last long.
