Works great 2003 Suburban 5.3

Helps beat the morning chill MN! Installation isn't too bad, just be prepared for a little coolant mess. The connector is very tight and easier to access if you remove the front driveshaft.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Bad Experience

Cheaper alternative

Installed on Envoy 5.3. 1/2 of the currency recommended for the vehicle. I used the lift and after 45 minutes I was able to remove the front left plug. A truck chassis would provide much more room to work.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • dented

Good quality ! in the tank type

good quality product. Easy to install and keeps my engine in good shape on cold winter nights for easier starting in the morning with much less battery and starter wear, plus fluids circulate faster when it's warm and the heater runs faster. Works perfectly !

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • very expensive

Nice to feel warm from the vents so soon

Installed block heater in December 2017 on my wife's 2003 Chevrolet Z71 Suburban 180k. The installation took about 40 minutes in total. No more long waits or exhausting idles on those terribly cold mornings. It's nice to feel the warmth of the ventilation so soon. I really believe this will extend the life of the car's engine and I wish I had done it sooner.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Updates

Was looking for a heater box for my Impala but didn't want a thermostat cable that only activates at a certain outside temperature. controlled cable. This kit costs about $65. The heating element in this kit is the same as the heating element in THIS kit, 400W with 28mm thread. I saved about $30 by purchasing this kit and got a heater that turns on when I plug it in.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • No

High Quality: Engines and Engine Parts

Used on a 2004 Chevy 2500HD Silverado LT with 8.1L engine. First, make sure you have the right tools - a 1/2" 17mm hex driver to remove the brass plug from the cylinder block. The brass plug is then located on the driver's side near the front of the engine. Use a long 1 /2.2 (more than 15") to get to the plug. It's very easy to get to once you find it. Drain all the coolant from the overflow and radiator. Removing the plug will drain a lot more coolant .Wrench 26mm (or 1 1/16"). Remove the…

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation

  • Nothing Here

Good quality, easy install, awaiting cold weather testing

The build quality of this product looks very good. The threads were pre-applied with sealant which was a nice plus. The plug has a good positive connection to the heating element. Has a long flat cord. Also: MADE IN USA! I installed mine on a 2002 4WD 1500 commuter with a 5.3 engine. The brass plug is located on the back of the engine on the driver's side. A 17mm hex wrench is required to remove the factory plug. I used a 1/2" 17mm allen wrench with a breaker. It was quite tight and took a…

Pros
